How do you beat the summer heat?

It has been so hot here, I don't even like to go for walks, the pavement hurts my feet! I have been staying under the tree, digging a hole under the shrub, and staying in the air conditioning! What have you done this summer to stay cool?

My mom got me a plastic kiddie pool and filled it full of nice cool water from the garden hose. I love to drop my ball in the water and play with it when I'm home alone on summer days. Weekends we swim at the dog beach or in Grandpa's big swimming pool. I love to run and jump in after my ball. I also love to chase the flies at the beach and jump over the waves.
