Thanks for the invite, I was wondering how long before someone started a Lola group. So how did all you beautiful Lolas get your beautiful name. My mommy decided she wanted my brother (Ese--hehe he will never get his own group!) to have a sister named Lola after she heard that Kelly Ripa had named her daughter Lola. She just though Lola was a perfect name for a chihuaha (and judging by the # of Loler Chis, mommy isnt alone).
My mommy and my human brother were driving home with me picking out names. Mom wanted something spanish sounding like Roslita, or Chica, but human brother didn't like that. Suddenly mom blurted out Lola, and they both knew that was it.

Mine's a similar story. My mommy got me, after she fell in love with my brother and sister, that her human sister had gotten. Her sister had named my first brother that she got Pedro...she thought he needed a Mexican name. My mommy loved that idea! She couldn't decide on a name though, and posted about it on her favorite website to ask for help. One of her online friends suggested Lola, and she knew that would be the perfect name for me. Bean is my middle name, and that comes kinda from my mommy, that is part of her user name on a couple of message boards she's a member of. She thought that was a perfect middle name for me, because I'm such a little bean. So there's my name, Lola Bean.
Lola was the name I got at the shelter. When I got adopted, no one really liked that name, so we tried to change it. But they took too long switching, and grew to love Lola. I'm glad. It's a good name.
We love the Lola name , it was Locita but she was to tiny and to sick, Lola was the song a sang to her to get her better...she still after 4 yrs knows that song!!
