How do your dogs respond to the Texas heat? Mine refuse to go outside with out a dog-popsicle (chicken broth frozen in an ice cube tray, no stick).

Corky stays inside, except to go potty or for our twice daily walks...EARLY in the morning and LATE in the evening...if it's too hot in the evening, then the walk the next morning is a little longer to compensate. I also put ice in his water dish each time I change it, that keeps the water cold and he seems to enjoy it.

Normally, the dogs would stay inside (execpt for potty breaks and walks) but Pepper isn't potty trained (we got her only a few months ago, and she wan't trained. she was 10 mo. old then) and we can't watch her all of the time, so she goes outside. Tex follows.

I'm an apartment dog, so I don't have a yard to run in! But mama has several friends that LOVE me and let me come over when they BBQ and stuff! But Mama gives me ice to play with and eat then!
