Is it time to- eat??!!

When mommy first brought me to my new home, I was so scared. My first family wasn't very nice so the animal control people made them put me in the shelter. I was petrified of men, and strangers and other dogs. Mommy has helped me by slowly letting me meet new people. And when I do good, the new friend gives me a treat!! I'm still a little scared when people I don't know come into my house. So I bark like crazy, but from another room! I eventually warm up to them. Some of them even play tug-o-war with me!! Then we moved to my daddy's house and he has a little dog named Colby. He's a Bichon. I love playing with my new brother. And THEN, I got a buddy named Willie. He lives with my human Grandparents. He's a little guy too. So, now I'm ok with little dogs. I'm still scared of big ones though. Mommy says we're gonna keep meeting new friends very slowly until I find someone I can play with. I love my new home. Mommy says I make her happy when she sees my tail wagging and my big smile!!

I was taken from a puppy mill... I was the stud dog.... they took 72 dogs from the place... it was an awful place to live. The man was mean to us and we were fed slop. We all went to a shelter and some Cocker rescue people came and took all of us away and sent us to foster homes to live in. I arrived at my foster home and met a new sister Cinnamon.... and my new foster Mom & Dad.. they were very nice.... and Cinnamon was sooooooo little I was almost sure she was a baby still but she wasn't - she was just small. I love everyone.. but my Dad had to teach me to chew... I didn't know what bowls were. My foster Mom & Dad took very good care of me... so good they had to adopt me - I was their boy now forever... and was I glad... it's great living with them.. and we have foster Cockers coming in all the time... some stay for a little while and some stay a little longer.. but they all get wonderful forever homes too.... just like me!
