Try using an ear cleanser for the ear shaking, follow the directions. I would go to a vet if it is still happening, could be ear mites. If he is shaking a lot as if he is VERY uncomfortable, that could mean there is a foxtail in his ear, which would require Immediate vet attention...I know all about that from my own experience with a minature poodle I used to own.
