I got it yesterday. The stories are about dogs, cats, horses, a pig!, written by a variety of authors. Some are excellent some ...not so much. I have not finished yet though. The authors include Ann Lamott, Jane Smiley, a beautiful dog poem by (i forget and I am at work, the book is at home).

We got our copy too and are reading it now. Agree with TR's opinion. Mom, however, has skipped the cat chapters. Don't tell Atlas about that. More to come on this book as we get into it...

We "finished " it. I was very uneven so we skipped a few that were just plain badly written. There were, however, some very good good parts too. I would not buy it but it was ok to get it from the library.
