 | | | | Tethys, it is not hard to do. I make mine on imikimi so I don't know if I can explain it well. I use a paper I like, putting it into a drop-in circle, then place grid lines on my canvas and put 1/4 of the circle in each corner. Then I do halves on the rest of the edges of the canvas so they will match up when tiled--that is what the grid lines are for, to line up the pieces on the edges. The ones in the middle don't really have to line up so I just place them random and even turning some of them at a angle or upside down. I do the same with the decorations, some randomly placed and usually a couple that I put half of on the left and right edges, that keeps it from looking too tiled-you can see what I mean on my submission tile. Then when I am through I remove all of the grid lines and try it out on my sisfur's page before submitting it! I think all of our personal pages now have custom made backgrounds and I make the one for Sweet Face too of course. I really enjoy doing it. | | | | |
