Let's Celebrate Mom's today!

Let's show them how much we love them...and need them....every day!cloud 9cloud 9cloud 9

Before I was a Dog Mom:
I made and ate hot meals unmolested.
I had unstained, unfurred clothes.
I had quiet conversations on the phone,
even if the doorbell rang.

Before I was a Dog Mom:
I slept as late as I wanted
And never worried about how late I got to bed
or if I could get into my bed.

Before I was a Dog Mom:
I cleaned my house every day.
I never tripped over toys, stuffies, chewies
Or invited the neighbor's dog over to play.

Before I was a Dog Mom:
I didn't worry if my plants, cleansers, plastic bags,
toilet paper, soap or deodorant
were poisonous or dangerous.

Before I was a Dog Mom:
I had never been peed on
Pooped on
Drooled on
Chewed on
Or pinched by puppy teeth.

Before I was a Dog Mom:
I had complete control of
My thoughts,
My body and mind.
I slept all night without sharing
the covers or pillow.

Before I was a Dog Mom:
I never looked into big, soulful eyes and cried.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop a hurt.
I never knew something so furry and four-legged
could affect my heart so deeply.

Before I was a Dog Mom:
I had never held a sleeping puppy
just because I couldn't put it down.
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was well.
I didn't know how warm it feels inside
to feed a hungry puppy.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important.

Before I was a Dog Mom:
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being
A Dog Mom

Oh what a beautiful poem. Mom's eyes are leakingcloud 9cloud 9 It's so true....our moms love us so much.

Mom was laughing about that today in her exercise class. She had found out who the vet is and has taken our records to his office and set up charts. She already has new ID tags for us to wear that have our new address and phone. She mailed in the check for our licenses in Siskiyou County and has changed the address for our microchipping.

So, does SHE have a doctor yet? How about dad? Dentist?? NOPEbig laughbig laugh She hasn't even inquired about that!

But Nick and I are safe and taken care of here. And they decided on the fence and that should start in a couple of weeks. The lumber has to come from San Fransisco and once it gets to the building supply store, the fence guys will get to work. We are so excited. We'll be able to be out front, on the grass and on the patio with mom and dad....just in time for the nice weather.

I love my momcloud 9cloud 9

Wonderful Poem, mom's going to send it to all her dog loving friends.
Nick and Lucy's mom has done exactly what is most important....taking care of the children, that's what mom's do. Mom's come last and that's ok, because they feel much better, healthier and sleep SO much better when they know their children are safe and cared fordogdogdog

One more time....
I haven't been on much the last few days because mom had to prepare for Kathryn's (and her mom) arrival. They are here now, but Walker isn'tshockshockshockshockshockshockshockshock
I am very lonely, sad and disappointed. I've looked for him and he isn't anywhere, but I can smell where he has been. On the car seat, the clothes etc. His daddy said he needed to stay with him, so I don't have a friend to play with. When mom was rocking Kathryn last night, so her mom could go on to bed, I just stayed in there with mom. I laid right by her feet and I got a back rub while mom rocked Kathrynway to go Mainly, I just wanted to be close and help out if the baby cried. I don't like it when she's upset. Oh and I got to lick her toes last nightshhshhshhshhshhshhshh Don't tell Walker's daddywink
