Hello, there, and welcome! I would suggest taking a look through some of the threads, and check out the instruction videos on the group main page. Also, you will have to choose a program to scrap in if you haven't already. Make sure to post any questions!

Gimp is still a free download and many here can help you if you get stumped with it, also you will need something to work with, we have a freebie thread that list designers that give away free scrap stuff. We all also alert the group through messages of kits we find. Some designers use RAR files instead of zip files and you will need a program to extract them once downloaded, I use 7zip, it is free to download and will open zip and RAR files. You can go back through the threads and take a look at our scraps and most designers have scraps pages posted as examples with their kits if you need ideas. I personally use imikimi to create all of mine, but it doesn't allow for a large page size scrap and if you are not a plus member you have a logo on your picture you have to crop off, it doesn't do a lot of the things gimp and other programs can do, but it is easy.
Oh yeah, almost forgot-WELCOME!!!!!!!!wave

I'd suggest before you sit down and start the learning/scrapping process - feed your furs, take a shower, make some coffee and kiss your family goodbye for a few hours - because your life is about to change smile

waveHi Everyfur, Thanks for encouragement. I've been looking through some threads to get started soon. I have to tell Tucker that Mom happens to think GSP's rock too because she had them when she was young. Mom was 5 yrs old until 20yrs with GSP doggy. She all liver color. But all dogs special place in her heart though she has cats now and loves us but she dog lover through and through! She also had a pitbull and poodle at the same time growing up so all dog nation!laugh out loud For me I don't have dog in my life but sometimes gma dog visit I handle it just finebig grin Okay back to scrappingcheer

Okay here's my new question. Which is better for me to start with GIMP or say maybe buy Photoshop Elements 8.0? I use a Mac and I don't think I'll be buying Elements right away but I'm wondering if anyone knows if one really supercedes the other. Elements seems like it is a waterdowned version of Adobe photoshop CS. So any opinions on these two to compare . Also I'm pretty good at learning new programs even though I will probably call on everyone for help a lot I'm still not to lost when it comes to picky things up. If that helps anyone in advice for me.

And I don't see a link to download GIMP on the site here how would I go about finding the download .

Thanks Again!
