It's OUR 4TH ANNUAL HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS GIFT EXCHANGE!!!!
What better way to celebrate the holidays then to exchange gifts with our HCFR pals! And we hope that many of you join us to celebrate! We are trying out a new and improved way to exchange by using this amazing site called ELFSTER! Here is how it will work…
STEP ONE:
P-mail me and tell us if you are interested in participating through November 20. If you are siblings, you have the option for one or all to join. Remember that each pup participating will give and receive in the exchange! Please be sure to provide me with your e-mail address. I will need that for your invitation to the exchange group on Elfster! At that time, you should also let us know if you can ship internationally.
STEP TWO:
I will announce in the group when I begin sending out an invite e-mail to you and each sibling if they are participating from Elfster. When you receive the e-mail, click on the RSVP link and then register for that pup! If more than one family member is participating, each sibling will receive their own invitation.
IMPORTANT FOR HOMES WITH MULTIPLE PARTICIPANTS!!! Before you click on the second invitation, you MUST be sure you are logged out of elfster because you will need to register an elfster account separately for each sibling. You will need to select to create a new elfster account for each.
And remember that the first name should be each participant’s name each time you register so we can identify each participant on the list.
THE COOL PART: When you register, you provide your address and create your wish list and any comments! You can even search for specific items and add them to the list easily or a site that interests you. Your secret santa can access your wishlist! And as secret santa, you can directly ask your pup questions anonymously too!
STEP THREE:
The deadline to register will be November 22! After that date, Elfster will automatically draw a name for each of the pup participants. Those who cannot ship internationally will not draw a pup outside the USA because we will ensure you are set up that way.
STEP FOUR:
The budget is a minimum of $10.00 and you are free to spend more – whatever you are comfortable with. THE ONE REQUEST IS TO ADD SOMETHING FOOD RELATED LIKE A RECIPE WITH DRY INGREDIENTS, FOOD BOWLS, A SUPPLEMENT, A RECIPE BOOK ETC. Something a member of HCFR would love!
You must ship the gift no later than the week of December 13th. If international, please try and ship it the week prior.
When you ship your item, because it is Secret Santa, please ensure that your return address states – HCFR Home for the Holidays so your identity is not revealed until the day of our MPMM Holiday Pawty. If you think your address will reveal who you are, then think of a friend or family member's address that will throw them off your scent! hehe!
STEP FIVE:
A holiday thread will be planned around Christmas to New Year's! This will be the time we open our gifts and discover our Secret Santas!
We encourage pups to send out clues, rosettes, and anything else that will add to the fun for the pup you receive to send a gift! Have fun with it! Also, we of course would love for you to take pics of you enjoying the gift(s) and post on your dogster page and on the group page!
