This is what we learned about Canada...

In Canada, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday in October. The origin and history of Thanksgiving Day in Canada is different from the American Thanksgiving. Whereas the American tradition talks about remembering Pilgrims and settling in the New World, Canadians give thanks for a successful harvest. The geographical location of Canada is further north as compared to the United States therefore the harvest season falls earlier in Canada.

All I know is that turkey tastes great...I had some some night after mom & dad hosted the family for a Thanksgiving Dinner. We watched football and golf all day.

And this morning I got to roll on my back in frost. It felt so cool on my coat I must have rolled about four times during our morning walk. I'm just getting some practice in for making sno-doggies.

It's a cool crisp autumn day for Thanksgiving. It was 0 C last night or 32F and sunny early this morning for our walk, but it's cloudy now. We some some blackbirds start their migration this morning. Dad thought that there were over 1200 birds all flying and making noises.

To all our pals...Happy Thanksgiving!

On Saturday I got to go to the farmers market...you should have seen all the tables loaded with all kinds of fruits and vegetables. There’s one lady that makes homemade doggie treats. She always has a water bowl out and I think she really likes me…I had more than one treat!

Lucy, Dad used the Green Egg on Friday for some Scotch Glazed BBQ Ribs. I didn’t have any (!), but everyone who was there said they were the best ever. He did use the Egg to cook the baked potatoes for Sunday’s dinner.

Make sure you say "Hi" wavewavewave to little Nicholas at the Bridge for me.
Tell him that I'm keeping the 'Dachy' tradition going down here at his home, and I sleep on his 'Buzz Cushion Bed' in the evening when his Mum's are watching TV.
Mum says I look like him sometimes, and she forgets for a moment that it's not Nicholas cry
