The Jarabe Tapatio

The Mexican Hat Dance has been called the national dance of Mexico. The accompanying music is Mexican folk that was created in the 19th century. The dance itself was created in the 20th century to be performed at a fiesta thrown at the end of the Mexican Revolution. Today, Mexicans still proudly and joyously perform Jarabe Tapatio at their various fiestas and other big events.
