 | |  | | Wanted to share this great update my Mom & Dad got via email from the new furever family of our sweet pal, Carmela:
"Just wanted to give you an update on Carmela. Tomorrow will be two weeks since we have had her. She has made great strides since she has been here.
She has really bonded with the girls and sleeps with them every night. She also wakes me up to go outside the use the facilities. Last night she saw her first racoon (with us) and she was a little bewildered. She looked through the sliding glass door and her head went back and forth and we decided that she didn't need to go out for her final nite-nite pee. She woke me up about 2:15am which was fine with me since I am not good at refereeing a animal fight of this capacity.
She started wagging her tail on the weekend we first got her when she saw us and we would either talk to her or look her way.
In the past couple of days she is now doing the "boxer" horseshoe wagging of the tail. She gets really excited when we get home and she does that lots!
Over this past weekend the girls and I went to a winery tour (which was planned before we got her) and she stayed with one of my friends and I was a little hesitant but she was a champ. Amy said that she wanted her for the rest of the week she was so good and loving. Her two kids, a 1 year old and a 4 year old, enjoyed every minute they had with her too. She slept with the 4 year old and woke Amy to go out.
We are really enjoying her with us. She has made great progress and I have very few accidents in my house now. She is doing well. When I can scan some pictures I will send you some.
I will weigh her soon and let you know what she has gained but I can tell, and others that met her her first couple of days, that she has put on weight.
