	Hi, my name is Benoni but you can call me Benny. I'm not sure if I belong in this group so please let me know. My Mommy became a vegetarian last summer and then a vegan two months ago. She "convinced" Daddy to do it too. Now she's trying to "convince" me but I'm not having it. After my sister, Poochie, went to the Bridge from cancer, Mommy did lots of research and didn't like what she learned about dog foods or people foods, for that matter. So she made a lot of changes. She always cooked for Poochie (my sis would eat NO dog food) so when they rescued me, I got home cookin' too, although I did agree to eat one brand of kibble (Royal Canin). But now that's not good enough either. Mommy still cooks dinner for me but she only buys me organic meat with no antibiotics or growth hormones and other stuff I don't understand. Now she bought all these different trial size kibbles: Evolution, Ami from Italy, and Natural Balance. I spit them all out. Blech! I did compromise, however, and will eat the Natural Balance Organic Forumla but that's as far as I'm going. I know it makes Mommy feel bad 'cause she wants a totally vegan home but I just don't like it. I will eat some green beans, peas and other veggies as treats. So the question is can we still join the group since Mommy is vegan and interested in the group topics even though I won't get totally with the program? Thanks and nice to meet you all, Benoni

	Hi Benoni! You are absolutely welcome here in the Tofu Pups and we are so glad to have you with us! In regards to your questions, we have other pups whose parents are veggie, but they themselves just haven't been ready or able to make the switch. Tofu Pups was created as a community for everyone to share and learn. A place for pups to embrace their veggie-ness and feel safe or just learn and come to a place of understanding. JB and I have only been vegan for a little while and are really enjoying it. And we are thankful to be part of such a warm and wonderful group. We have learned so much from our fellow Tofu Pups and appreciate all of the sharing, caring and support. It has been great and fun too! Feel free to poke around and get to know the members. 	Welcome! Don't worry, you'll come around. Me and Zuki were both not vegan when we got adopted. We eventually figured out how it worked. We've had a bunch of different foods and we learned to like it. Even the kitty steals my kibble now! At first we had to mix in some human food to get used to it. And our poos turned yellow. But eventually we got back on track. You are smart to transition slowly because it will be less of a shock to the system. Happy eating!

	Thanks Sienna. And Mommy and Daddy says thanks too. I think it has been harder for Daddy than for Mommy. All his favorite foods have cheeeeeeese in them. Mommy makes him stuff with rice cheese but it's hard for them to eat out now, especially where we live. There are only 2 vegan take out places and they are far away. There are a lot where Mommy works but that's also a big commute. They can't even grocery shop without going far away anymore but what Mommy says, goes!!! Daddy is really scared now 'cause Mommy has been talking about eating more raw food, especially over the summer. Either way, they still won't let me have any squirrel Benny
