My mom is a little concerned after our last visit to the vet-- she said that by about 8 months I would be done growing and start to fill out. I am a little over 7 months now and I hit mom about her knees (maybe a hair taller) and I weigh about 52 lbs. I was just wondering is this about normal for our breed. How big are all of you guys?

Chaucer--that sounds about the same as me...I wouldn't worry too much. I hear that us boxer pups don't fully "fill out" until we're around 3. Someone correct me if I'm wrong--as I'm my pawrents first boxer pup. But my mom (or dogter) hasn't been worried about my growing rate (or lack thereof)...

Thanks Tyson-- good to know that I am growing at the normal speed! I am my mom's first boxer pup too and I think I have convinced her we are the best dogs....

My mom was wondering the same thing about my size. She thought I was on the small size. I am about two feet to my withers and about 32 inches to my head. I do weigh about 70 pounds but I am ALL MUSCLE...no fat on me! Maybe its the flyball that keeps me so buff.

Glad to hear that I am normal.

I'm exactly the same as Nimitz! I'm 2 and a half, weigh about 70 lbs and am all muscle. You can sometimes see me ribs ripple under my fur, but my vet says that's healthy for an adult Boxer. I get fed twice a day, 1 1/2 cups of kibble (Wellness Core), plus numerous dog treats during the day.

I'm a little on the small side--I was the runt of the litter. You are about the same size as me, and I'm about as big as I'm going to get at 2 years old. I might still fill out a little more but I probably won't get any taller. So you'll definately be big compared to me.

My pawrents have some friends that have a girl boxer (she's about 2) and they say she is shorter than I am (even at 7 months) and she's only about 50 lbs. They say she's started to fill out, but that she is going to be a small girl. They think she was the runt...

They promise I get to go play with her soon. I can't wait.

Well mommy says that I am super big for my age! She says that I am 65 lbs and I am now going on 7 mths. I am already bigger than Heidi! She is about 50 lbs and is now 2 yrs old. She is shorter than me but she can be just as strong!!

Well my momma went on vacation and when she got back she says it looks like I have grown . I hit her a little above her knees and I have definitely gained weight...I am pushing 60lbs. I think I just grow in spurts. My chest is starting to fill out more and more too...looks like I am going to be average size after all!
