I have found only one program that works for me and it's Paint.Net. Now some have trouble down loading it. Paint.Net is a free program to use. Try to download it first and next week we'll start to work with it. I didn't know there was some out there want to learn to make pictures. So I'll have to get things ready for class.

Your basic Paint.net classes.. I want you to open up your paint.net. Find the tan file in the left hand side. Click on it to open your files.

Opening up Pictures

Find a picture that you would like to use. Click on that picture and then click on open.

Your files click on open

Your picture of choice should be showing on the screen

The next thing I want you to do is crop the picture. Click on the cropping tool and out line and make sure you keep the part of the picture you want in the shaded area. Then go to Image and look for *CROP TO SELECTION * click on that and you should have your cropped image.

Cropping tool

Image button

Cropped Picture

Close to the last things to do. Next you have to eraser the background. I myself start out with a large size in the eraser and go smaller the closer I get to the object that I'm keeping.

Now go fine a background picture that you want to use. Download your picture on to paint.net like you did at the begaining.

Background of your choice

Resize it if you need to. Go to the Image and there is a resizing click on there and I always resize with the height so where around 800 to 1000. Thats for the background. Now go back to your first picture and have that on your screen when you...
Click on the arrow to the left and open up the edit box on top left then you do the Copy / Paste....

This is what you'll have Combing the two pictures

Go back into Image and at the bottom of the box you'll see the word Flatted. Click on that. Go back into Image again and resize your picture. I go for about 400 in height size.

Then go to File ( upper left hand side ) Click and scroll down until you see Save As. Click on that and that picture will be saved in your picture files..

Well that is your basic Paint. Net Class. If you have any questions feel free to ask!!big grin

Had some pup ask the question about saving the erase picture. So it could be used again in another background. It can be done all you do is...

Open FILE and SAVE AS

When you click on the Save As button. Your picture file will open up. And then ask you if you want to save. First before saving you have to change from JPEG to Gif and then SAVE.

opening up the picture button

Hope that helps out.way to go

Well the best I can do for you Max is to show you the pictures right from the start on how to erase. So here we go....

Click on the Cropper Tool

Using cropping tool out line the picture you want to save and keep it in the shaded part

Click on crop to save

Your cropped picture

Click on the eraser tool # 1 and then # 2 for the largest size to start with

Next go down in the eraser size to get the spots you couldn't get with the larger size

# 1 I made a mistake and I click on the back arrow and it take me back to before the mistake

And some times you just might have to take it down one more size to find tune the picture

Done picture now if you want to save and use it for later all you do is save as GIF before you save.
