 | |  | | We looked into TPLO for our dog, the estimate was about $4500. We looked arround a little and found a surgeon that does a newer surgery called Tightrope CCL. It is very similar to the cheaper ACL surgery where they go in and reinforce the knee using synthetic ligament material. We are really happy we went with this surgery since once the surgeon got in there she had a meniscus tear and a very minor ACL tear. They trimmed up her meniscus and cleaned up her ACL. They still reinforced her knee with the tightrope CCL procedure. If we had gone with the TPLO it would have been horrible since it would have put more pressure and wear on her torn meniscus. We paid about $2600 with the x-rays. So far so good. she is in recovery now and doing great. |  |  | |  |
