I didn't do it!

	Hi everyone! I am trying to teach Nellie to speak on command (and when she wants to go outside), but she is such a quiet puppy that in the 2 months that we've had her, I've only heard her bark a handful of times. I know that I should count my blessings, but I really would like her to let us know verbally when she's ready to go out. Any ideas??

	Shadow doesn't make a SOUND when he wants to go out - just goes and stands at the back door - he's such a goofball!!! Have you concidered hanging a bell on the door that she normally goes out? You could either train her to ring it, or some pups just make the connection between the bell and going out on their own.

Is that food for- me?

	Bear comes to me and does a circle and then goes to the back door. That is how he tells me he has to go out. I would count your blessings that she doesn't bark all the time. Bear is half Schnauzer so he is very vocal! Nellie is so cute I hope everything works out o.k.

	Well Shadow I must be a goofball too because I just go and stand by the door....sometimes if mom isn't paying enough attention to me..then I'll go up to her and just stare at her....

	Hi . I'm Dayzee waves Mom has Christmas bells at the front door and our cats ring them when they want out. smiles Now for me....I just stare or make this "trying to talk " noise. If that doesn't work I just start to paw my mom. With my big foot she has to listen. BOL I'm not a barker either although mom is trying with treats to teach me to bark to come in. I just scratch the door and hope she hears it.
