I would like to know a good tutorial on Photoshop Elements 6 and Premiere Elements 4.
I received the programs for my birthday and I haven't added them to my computer yet. I am afraid they will be too hard for me to use.

wave I would like to learn how to choose backgrounds. See, mom sells jewelry on etsy, and her photos usually don't come out the way she wants. They are too dark or the white background she is using doesn't show the colors. She has a hard time making the jewelry look as pretty and sparkly as it does in person. shrug

How do you get a cat to stay still long enough to take a photo? Mittens will tolerate one or two photos then get up and RUN away. Her sister KC won't even do that. The minute she sees the camera, she starts moving around and won't stay still for even a second. I rarely use the flash and when I do it doesn't seem to bother them much, so that can't be the reason. confusedshrug

Photographing Cats:

In my experience of and studies of photography one thing they taught us the two evils were, were children and pets.. the evil twins.. because they are the hardest..

My suggestion is to keep shooting.. try different types of distractions and stay patient. It takes lots of practice. You could try different cat toys like a ball that jingles to capture their attention before you take a photo.

The key with it is patience. Make sure your all set and ready to photograph before you bring the cat in, set them up, and then try distracting them. But shoot and shoot and shoot.

Here is a link I have on photographing cats that may help:
