 | |  | | I have a couple tricks- dogs are easier to photograph IMO because I can just use my voice to get their attention, but cats are more fun IMO 
For Quetzal, I use his name sometimes, but not too often. I mostly use a feather wand that I can wave around to get him to turn his head in the angles I want him to, and can excite him and make him twitch his whiskers forward. I also use a little plastic egg-shaped maraca and shake it to get his attention. I find that I have to switch toys often because if they lose focus they'll just waltz away and end the photo session. Ah, the joys of photographing cats! |  |  | |  |
