As your licking your Momma's tears away, try to remind her that you're still very much alive and have lots of more livin' to do!!!!!
A note from our Mom:
It's very stressful on us pet owners to watch your beloved animal go thru a difficult time with health concerns. I had cried for an entire week straight while beginning treatment for Bailey holistically for an aggresive brain tumor. The thing that I learned to realize is our animals are so intuitive that they can sense our stress and it's harder for them to overcome their health situation. As soon as I made a mental decision to stop worrying and thinking the worst, Bailey started to respond positively to treatment. It certainly wasn't easy, but please be encouraged to help your dog by helping yourself NOT to stress. It doesn't help the situation, never has and never will in my experience!!!!! I'll say a prayer for you!
p.s. the vet gave Bailey only a few weeks to live after diagnosis and I'm most certain that vet would have been right if I had remained in the depressed state I was in. Once she started responding to treatment (a day after I stopped the waterworks), she lived a comfortable, happy life for another 11 months, 3 weeks and 1 day. And I feel blessed to have had that extra time with my beloved Bailey girl! | | | | |
