Roxy,
If a fellow pup is in need of transportation in order to secure his/her safety the DOGGIE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD is enacted!

Pups and their families volunteer to shuttle the selected pup as far as they can to the next family until the pup reaches the final (safe) destination.

Maybe we could gather money on the sly, as Izzy said, to "buy" the pup off the idiot people?

Hey puppers - just a brief update. My daddy is going in person to the ARL tomorrow, to find out what their response is and what sort of steps we should 'officially' take from there. My lady has also spoken with the dog trainer who has reported them going to doggy class drunk, and he's asking the 'official' trainer (he's training the dog trainer, but he won't be present at the next class) to call our city Animal Commission if they show up at class that way again.

If neither of these steps yield any results, my daddy is going to try offering money for the dog, and see what happens. And we'll go from there.

Again, thanks for all the support, pals! We may yet make use of the doggy underground railroad, so I'll continue to keep you pupdated!

I was just wondering how those people are allowed to get in the car and drive drunk? With or without furry passengers...

I've never touched the stuff and my mom won't let me get behind the wheel! Seems unfair.

Surely you can't- eat that by- yourself?

Ben, just returned from our annual vacation in paradise and am slowly catching up with all the news that is fit to bark (a slow process). Wanted to let you know that, if you need the secretary, she is available (weekends only) for transport purposes. She can meet you somewhere between CT and Boston and probably get the pup to NJ or PA (depending on final destination) with little difficulty. Let us know if you need us.

Thanks, Nelly!

Just a general pupdate for you, pals:

We still haven't seen a good opportunity to abscond with Banjo. Local organizations are still not being helpful. My lady read an article in the New York Times today (from earlier in the week) about this organization based in New York that helps out in abuse cases where the official groups don't have the resources to follow up. My lady emailed them to ask advice, seeing as how they're semi-professional and they deal with cases that the official channels pass by every day. If we ask enough people, maybe somebody will have a solution.

We saw Banjo again yesterday for the first time in almost a week. He seemed energetic and playful. He still kept his distance from people, but played plenty with the other dogs. It's a shame that he's learning not to trust people, but at least he still seems to be enjoying doggy playtime. That's a small comfort while we try to find potential solutions.
