My Dad and I watched the show last night. We were surprized when Laura and Preston got voted off. My Dad Could not believe that JD was part of the bottom three. That just goes to show you that anyone can be on the bottom three. shock

Both me, mommy, and daddy are disappointed in the competitions for Best In Show the last three weeks. They are asking more in creativity on the owners part than whether a dog can do dog stuff. And then to have the poor doggie get kicked off all because the owner is not creative enough or their creativity does not match the creativity of the judges. We agree with past comments that the Dog Bone Challenges are more what we expected the Best in Show challenges to be. They truly show how the dogs' think and their personality. The BIS competitions show the personality and thought process of the owners.

I love Victoria especially "It's Me or the Dog". I don't always agree with some of her philosophy (like not letting the dog sleep on the bed with their mommy and daddy-where else am I supposed to sleep?); but I do like that she geniunely tries to be a good person to both the dogs and the people. Even when she doesn't like something, she always tries to phrase her comments in a politically correct way. I don't think she has intentions of being spiteful like Wendy does. I think Wendy would only be truly happy if Lucky was named Greatest American Dog!

I am thinking about writing to CBS with my comments on the choice in competitions and judges (namely the one judge). I don't know how much good it will do; but. if they want me to keep watching, there better be some changes!

I was sad to see preston pompom go. And I really think wendy diamond has a really bad attitude. She is always putting people down and fighting with victoria. I know that judges have to use critisim but they are supposed to use construtive critisim not be mean.

The whole judging thing is flawed. It should be cumulative, rather than a "sudden death" kind of thing every week, with elimination based just on how you did that week for each (rather stupid) challenge. At this rate, the last dog standing could just be a mediocre one who didn't happen to do badly enough at any one thing to get eliminated. Whereas a dog who consistently did well, or was even best in show a time or two could get eliminated. They should get scores each week, and whoever has the lowest cumulative score each week would be eliminated. That way, dogs in the bottom three for several times (like Bella Starlet) would eventually be eliminated. Besides, Preston's painting was one of the few that looked like it was actually done by a DOG - which I believe was the whole point. The others mainly looked as though they were done by people, especially that awful one by Laurie and Andrew. Oh, well, I didn't really expect this show to be totally fair or reasonable. But it is so INCREDIBLY arbitrary, it's worse than dancing with the stars, or American Idol! Love, TEDDY!
PS and I'm not just disappointed because Preston went home and he is a Pom like me! I think the whole thing stinks! THey should focus more on doggie abilities - this photo and artwork thing is ludacris!

I love and miss- you Dutchess

I totally agree with you Teddy! But if they have to do it this way, I think the show is backwards. The first half is what they should be judged on as far as elimination goes. The second half of the show is always something silly. I know I sure can't paint! Or dance for that matter.

How fair would it have been if Star did so well the first half (very impressive) and then did a bad painting and was sent home?
