Stone: And that judge that stated that "you must never manipulate a dog into doing anything!" - you have to wonder if she has ever really trained a dog at all.

You can see Victoria Stillwell several times a day on Animal Planet. Her show is "It's Me or the Dog." I enjoy that show, but I didn't much like her attitude as a judge on "Greatest American Dog." Considering the casual feel of the show as a whole, I think all the judges needed to lighten up a bit and try to relate to the contestants a little more. They came across as snobby and critical. The whole last segment of the show made me edgy.

The first 45-50 minutes of the show? I enjoyed it lots.

Ditto Abbey!! My mom was trying to figure out what she was feeling once the judges came on the scene. They changed the whole mood of the show. I don't know if I should be posting this here, but my mom just received an email from DogChannel.com. One of the judges, Allan Reznick, will be live on their forum to answer questions about the show. You can visit their forum (http://board.dogchannel.com/Forum34-1.aspx) at 10:00 am PDT every Friday after the show airs for a live forum session with Allan.

We watched the show and it's really pretty good. My only peeve is the owners- they (with 1 or 2 exceptions) need to focus on their dogs and not themselves. This is for the pups- not them.
Really hope that Star will be ok- seems like a very sweet dog.

They did a quick close up on Star's muzzle at the end of that clip - it looked a bit swollen so my guess is a bee sting, which could get pretty dangerous if the reactions are not controlled. Poor baby.

Go Preston and Star!!!
