Okay, I didn't have a problem so much with the "snarl bands" as I did the "positive" methods used by Teresa. Sprayin him in the face with grapefruit juice was uncalled for and I am happy Leroy missed the air and bit her hand. She deserved it . As for calling her dog a bas****...That says a lot about the REAL relationship between Teresa and Leroy. As for the angry shot...That word SHOULD have been in the choices. Teresa is the one that made it negative. She wasn't creative and she was so desperate, that she didn't care how much stress and fear she put on Leroy, as long as she got that perfect shot. #1 She used the band wrong by placing it on the front of Leroy's gums. #2 She was CLEARLY making Leroy fearful by spraying his face, causing him to back away into the background. When he went to her for protection, she pushed him away and INSISTED on getting the perfect shot, no matter what the cost. There are MANY ways to get a dog to look angry without actually being angry or causing stress at all. In fact, I think she had the EASIEST shot of all. I have tons of "angry" pictures of Kaine which I will post later on today. All she had to do was have Leroy bark and the photographer could have used a burst effect to capture the bark at the very beginning, when the lips raise to reveal the gums. This exposes all the front teeth and wrinkles the nose. Usually, the tail in raised in excitment, adding more of an effect to the "angry" shot. She also could have taught Leroy to raise his lip ON HIS OWN (like a REAL positive trainer) in the span of a week. She had PLENTLY of time. The dog is so damn smart, he probably would have learned that trick in a matter of days. Too bad I can't say the same for his owner . Tillman should NOT have gone home. I beleive the judging was completely rigged because of his comment. What the heck even have challenge guidelines if people are going to go home based on a comment and not the actual challenges? Stupid judges  made a terrible decision and a VERY RUDE and UNTRUE comment about Tillman. The picture was fine and the black and white was not a "poor choice." On the other hand, that comment about Wendy's laugh was VERY TRUE and so funny . She had it coming. They can't expect to make fun of Tillman and not have Ron stand up for his buddy. They went home because of that and THAT is completely rigged .
Brandy is something else...I swear that woman gets more annoying by the second . Terrible photo that was unimaginative and showed no "love" theme. Andrew's photo was brilliant ! Presley's photo was PAWSOME (ignore the judges lies).

| | Barked: Thu Jul 31, '08 6:05pm PST | | | | | | This weeks theme was AWESOME!! It really showed which owners knew their dogs personalities. The dog bone challenge was funny. I thought it was hilarious that Star picked up the stick and chewed on it, even though Bill said she has never done that in her life I think the stick was baited with chicken stock The tofu was a funny choice aswell. The Photo shoot was really fun to watch. I loved Bill and Star's photo, it really captured the word "stubborn". Galaxy's shot was amazing aswell, and it made her look like a lioness  As for the bottom three, I do NOT see how Ron and Tillman left!! If you showed a random person on the street the pictures, and asked them to come up with a word that described the picture, I bet you they would know that Leroy's was "angry", Tillman's was "lazy", but they would be stumped on Beacon's picture. If I didn't know the word, I would have guessed, "begging" , "sit", or even "head shot", but I would NOT come up with the word love. If the voting was ONLY done on looking at the picture, than I see no reason what so ever that Tillman got eliminated. His shot actually showed a dog that was lazy! The judges said they were judging on how close the owner matches their dog's personality to the word, but they eliminated a contestant that hit that spot on!! I agree, I think Tillman got eliminated because the lady judge with the dog didn't like Ron's comment, even though he was actually concerned about Tillman by not wanting to roll him on his back. Also by saying it was the worst picture of a bull dog ever?? Very harsh, and so untrue! How do you think that made the photographer feel, after all she took the shot, not Ron. I think Ron should have posed Tillman like the picture he has of him on his website, he is sitting on a sofa like a human, and I think he wouldn't have been in the bottom three. As for Leroy, I think his owner needs to be a lot more nicer to him He loves barking, and she should have used that to her advantage and told him to speak (does he know that on command?) Leroy clearly didn't like the snarl bands, but she still put them on him Hopefully she looks back on this and sees that she shouldn't have put him in that situation, or been so mean when he was trying to tell her he was scared. I know there is a lot on the line, and there is pressure between the contestants, but that doesn't justify taking it out on your best friends

In the last 3 weeks I have seen many humans on this show who make me think the DOGS are truly Smarter! I have also seen these humans doing things to the dog that if it was done in public- they'd be turned in for cruelty. I have seen them being rude and mean to the other humans. After what I have seen recently I could honestly say, there is no way MY pawrents would ever take part in this show! | | | | |
