I respectfully disagree...There are ways to "photograph" anger as an emotion without being actually angry. Anger can be an intensity or look in the eye...Otis has a picture on his page where he looks "angry" but is more to do with angles/lighting/choice of black and white......There are choices.

I don't remember how much time they had to work BUT it took me about 5 two minute sessions to teach my dog to snarl RELATIVELY consistently by just touching her whiskers on her face to raise her lip. I think she worked too much on aversive techniques to make him snarl. She also could have been creative with the shot... get him soaking wet and put him in a tub... dogs always look p*ssed off when they are in a tub getting a bath... or any number of scenes that would make leroy appear angry w/o needing him to snarl (like Galaxy's pic, if it weren't in that scene it wouldn't look that sneaky). I have pictures of shayne barking that are ALL teeth and she looks WAY angry (though she wasnt)--and we all know how much Leroy loves to bark (i'm also a photographer so i am very familiar what kind of shots one can get).

It was hard for me to watch the shoot when Leroy was so upset by the spray bottle that he wanted to hide by his mum and she kneed him away.

Shayne did a print ad for a national brand and the photo shoot was stressful and it took forever to get the perfect shot (she had to catch a frisbee at a specific place, at a specific height, going in a specific direction, etc so it was a very technical shot). It is stressful and the minute it stopped being fun for her she shut down. I was dumb and it took me about an hour to figure out i need to make it fun for her and she'll perform. Photo shoots can be intensely stressful for dogs (becuase humans get so stressed) i think Bill's performance with star at the shoot was THE best--he really knew what he had to do to get his dog to perk up! I do agree Galaxy had the best photo, mad props to JD for knowing just how to be to get that look from her, it looked super smooth.

I was very sad to see Tillman go... i think it could have JUST as easily been Leroy or Beacon... What i find so sad is that i feel like i'm getting to know all of the dogs except for beacon... everything is ALWAYS about her mum that we never really get to know beacon. I really think Mandy (beacon's mum?) should go home... she really irritates me.

Leroy shouldn't have been subjected to those awful bands his owner put on his mouth. Teresa was right. That was very inhuman. Also spraying
grapefruit in his face was torcher to Leroy. Poor Leroy going through all of this with his Mom and best friend. I would never treat a dog this way or any animal that was so loving as Leroy. He should have gone. Tilman could have a much better picture to show. They took so many!
I do not agree with the judges on this one. So long my dear Tilman! It is sad to see you go. You put a lot of laughs into the show!applausewave

Sawyer,

It is commendable to be loyal to your trainer, but you saw how Teresa behaved toward Leroy tonight, so it is hard to understand how you can defend her. She hasn't used a clicker once on the show, but we saw her use her knee, aversion training, negative reinforcement, rejection and punishment when he didn't behave in a way most dogs are trained NOT to behave. Talk about sending a dog a mixed message! Better make sure you bring your person along (for protection) when you go to training, just in case!

was less adorable then a manipulated photo shot with manipulations which obviously distressed leroy ...oh by the way. about her spraying him in the face.
i'm glad he bit her, it was wrong to spray leroy in the face to grr,..

shock shock shock We were shocked at the end. Mom's been doing great guessing who was leaving and tonight she named the 3 lowest but she guessed wrong about Tillman, we never thought it would be him. I can't imagine what they wanted him to do, lay on the couch and sleep in lazy in our books.
