All of mine were on Purina because the vets recommend it a lot but a couple of mine wouldn't eat it. I was searching for something affordable that they would eat (got in a big fight defending Purina in the other forums) so I tried the Diamond Naturals. They all like it and it's comparable in price. I get it at Tractor Supply and can get it in 40lb bags. If they all would eat Purina I would still be feeding it because I think it's good food and it's affordable.

I also buy packs of chicken gizzards and hearts. They love them and a pack is usually a dollar, sometimes less! I mix a few in their kibble and they have fun digging them out before they eat the kibble. I cut the larger gizzards in half. blue dog

The DexMan eats Beneful, not all that expensive and it was the first one we found that didn't give him a bad case of gasred faceshhred face

OTH I've never had a dog that plays with his food like he does, we give him the little baby carrots as treats and he walks around throwing it up in the air for awhile before he finally decides to eat it.
