	Hi all you adorable doxies!! Sorry I never popped into here sooner but my name is Kiki and I am adopted!! I was in a Puppy Mill in Taiwan for my whole life just breeding and breeding and breeding all jammed into a cage. Sadly at only 4-6 years of age I became useless -but- rather than killing me I was dropped off at a shelter with a bunch of other dogs and ended up being brought over to Canada by a rescue agency called Ocean Dog Rescue. It was a long road over, I had missing patches of hair, I was about 6 pounds, de-barked, had rotten teeth and was totally terrified. I had never even set foot outside a cage in my whole life. I came to my furever home about 3 weeks after I came to Canada where I touched grass, felt sunshine on my fur and met my family. Now I haven't had an easy road, I had some foot infections which we learned were caused from my rotten teeth putting bacteria in my blood. So I had some teeth removed. I was very very scared of everything! Now I am still very timid and dont enjoy crowds but now I am 11 pounds, I run around, I play with toys, my fur sister, I sit on laps and I walk excellent on a leash! My family is very proud of me and enjoy watching me progress from a small statue of an animal to a real dog with a real personality. Thanks for having this group and letting me share! On the Look Out

	Hi, My name is Stewie. I am 2 years old and am a Dachshund Cross. I look like a Border Collie but I'm only 11lbs. My old owner had to go to the hospital and had to give me up, although I don't know any details. I have been adopted by my new mom about 2 months ago. I love her very VERY much. But I am extremely people shy, but am slowly getting better because mommy is introducing me to a lot of nice people. My favorite game is fetch, and only with small stuffys with squeakers. Mom tried to get me to play with a Frisbee because I'm such a great jumper, but I haven't given it a second look. Apart from that I'm a real lap dog. You'll find me laying on the couch or anywhere near mom.

	I was saved from a puppy mill and then my mom adopted me from the humane society. I was really scared at first and had to learn how to "be a dog." Thankfully I have my sister Masha to show me the way.
