laugh out loudHow about a 200 pound weight tied around your collar?? Seriously, after Orson was done, he felt slightly lousy that evening from the sedation, but the next day he was bouncing of the walls!!!laugh out loud "Keep him quiet for the next 7-10 days." HAHAHAHA!!! The boy-surgery is way easier than the girl surgery, and I'm not just saying that because I'M a girl!! But, you do have to take it easy for at least a few days, otherwise you could get a little swollen! Thank Dog your mom is getting you done now, cuz the older the dog, the more problems after surgery.

Don't worry little one, the worst thing is the "No breakfast" on that day! big grin You will do great!!

The most important thing to remember after any surgery is.........lay the guilt on the parents!!!laugh out loud Seriously, they feel really bad for us after any kind of surgery so this is our time to make them pay! Use your big brown eyes and heavy sighs and you will get anything you want! laugh out loud It has worked after both of my surgerys and even after follow up visits! People food will be delivered to you where ever you lay! The service will not last forever (dang) so use it while you canhappy dance

Rosie and Madison helping Mom off the floor, after what Satiba said! BOL! She can't stop laughing! Satiba, you are right about laying on the guilt, Rosie and I are pretty good about that. Not just when we go to the vet, but at all times! We have her wrapped around our paws! BOL!

I will probably have to stay the night after the surgery at the vet's officecry. I am not very happy about that, but my vet says because I am still a puppy that I will probably have to be monitored the first night.

Thanks Madison, Rosie, and Satiba! I will make sure to practice my most grievous faces so that my mommy will feel super guilty. I have her totally wrapped around my little claw.wink

Ruh Roh! Be sure to have mom ask, is someone there all night?? Mom's place sends pups home that same evening, cuz there is nobody there all night. (or, really sick pups have to transfer to the ER) Maybe they are telling her that, just so they can be sure you are kept quiet? Resting is important the first night, you will still be woozy from the anesthesia. One pup was on the sofa sleeping, and the peoples left her there when they left the room. She tried to follow them, fell over backwards, and bonked her head on the coffee table!!! She was OK, but the peoples WERE told to keep her under strict observation!
Good luck, Bud!!!wave

I'm doing great Satiba, and thanks for asking! I'm my normal energetic self! My mommy made me take a couple of naps today when I got home from the hospital which was a bummer...but I know I needed to rest. I tried licking my stitches a couple of times...but my mommy just put that stupid e-collar on me which sucked, so I stopped doing that!

I am super excited that my grandmother is going to stay with me at my house while my mommy is at work. That way, I don't have to be alone.snoopy
