	I lost my rat terrier "Max" back in January and I think I am finally ready to start looking for another companion. I have always found Basenji's to be intriguing so I thought I would come here and see what advice you can give and possible suggestions on where I might find a rescue or one for adoption. I visited one in a pet store the other day and really liked the experience, so I look forward to hearing back from other owners.

	We're sorry for your loss. Rat Terriers and Basenjis share some traits, like being spirited and energetic....there is a Basenji organization online called BRAT (Basenji rescue and transport). They have a wealth of information about the breed available. We hope you find a new, loving companion soon....we don't care if it a Basenji or a Golden....just come back and share your experiences with your new pal!
