 | | | | Tank just sent me my new picture and made me smile for the first time tonight. This is the best group and I am so very, very lucky. Thank you for allowing me to be part of it...ok...here it is...
Around 7:30 tonight Bella was chewing on her new nylabone, a flexible 6", and she swallowed it. My father casually tells me this when I went in the room. I panic and say why didn't you call me when you saw her doing it I could have pulled it out. His response...why did you give it to her.
I rushed her to the emergency vet and it was no longer in her throat. They did radiographs with digital images and we could not see it but she had food in her stomach. Plus being a clear flexible one there was doubt that it would show.
I have to watch her like a hawk to see if there are any signs of discomfort, vomiting, lethargy etc. He said the next 5-7 days are a waiting game. I can't imagine this thing passing.
I'm really scared of a blockage. You know how I feel about her. Tears are coming as I type this. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. I'm going to be a wreck. I will let you know of any news and going to try and keep my mind off of it. | | | | |
