	Service Dogs Discrimination Victims has been started because our dear friend, Dr. Jane Vincent of the greater Tampa Bay, Florida area was THROWN OUT OF WINN-DIXIE ( a grocery chain) for having her Service Dog with her. Dr. Vincent is 80 years YOUNG, and has severe arthritis. She requires the assistance of a service dog for her day-to-day functioning. She reported this matter to the Department of Justice, and has maintained a very detailed journal of EVERY communication. After 2 ½ years, Nothing has been done to correct these violations! NO ENFORCEMENT, not even on the LOCAL LEVEL! Apparently, they are hoping that the “little old lady will get tired and just go away”. Dear Dr. Vincent has chosen to take the fight public… she is writing a book to expose the way some, if not many, service animals and their humans are treated! The protections that are supposed to be there “under the law” are not being enforced, and this one particular company is a “worst offender”. PLEASE JOIN US AND DR. VINCENT IN EXPOSING THIS HIDEOUS PRACTICE AND GETTING SOME REAL CHANGES MADE!

	I have had problems with a driver of our 1 taxi company. he has been reported. the police here know nothing about SD laws, nor do they care.

	Unfortunately it happens all the time still, all we can do is stand up for our rights and have our dogs as well trained and impeccable in appearance as we can... Personally the only confrontations that I still have are those persons from different countries, and I have been trained to not even sniff...( Mummy tries to respect their religion) but still have problems with the taxi drivers from those countries...

	the taxi driver we have a problem with was bred and born in this town. many people have complained about his rudeness, but no one wants to replace him.

	we are havong our furnace cleaned on Tuesday. it turns out that the man who owns this business also owns the taxi company. I filled him in on the employee's manners. the driver was already on his way to a pink slip.

	the best way to fight this is with education. we are all role models, so we must also be good examples. although it gets tiring and frustrating, we must civilly explain the laws and rules to those who ask or try to block us. while Iris was in training, we had some problems with public access. once she was certified, I took a copy of the back of the certificate to those public places which were problems. my favorite Chinese restaurant here finally accepted us. but a customer complained, so when we went back we were refused. I stood my ground, so she called the police. the police learned that I was correct. this frustrating experience led me to call the local newspaper to take out a 1/4 page add. I wanted to print the definition of a service animal, PWD, and the back of the SD certificate. the local rag now wishes to write a story about this. in the last 3 years I have offered them a story about guide dogs 3 times. lol
