I'm Ruby. I am new to the group but I am so passionate about this topic just like my mom. Breedism got us kicked out of our first apartment (okay we left because of what happened) and makes it so hard to find a new place to live. But my Momma and Papa love us so much they work really hard to make sure we are taken care of and sheltered indoors. BSL is the worst thing anyone could do...I mean people faught/fight so hard for overcoming racism and other prejudice and some people just can't help but create more. It's scary for GSD breeds like me and my brother Duke. Things like what happened to Jessy happen way too often. If you go to my page and read my arrival story you'll see how it happened to us. AND IT'S NO FUN! We just want love and affection like all dog breeds. We are loyal and protective and so loving. Every apartment that ever gave me a chance loved me and invited us back anytime. When we are granted a meet and greet everyone accepts us but over the phone Momma goes through numerous hours of phone calls to find a new place to live. My Mom hates most when Apartments tell you we're not accepted and then say "keep us in mind if you ever get rid of your dog" like that's an option. So, closed minded. No wonder so many dogs are in shelters. |  |  | |  |

That's so sad, some people just don't have a clue. I bet you are one of the best dogs down here on earth, you seem sweet! I hope you enjoy this group!
Mom's sure can get all mushy sometimes can't they? Bol! But to tell you the truth, I don't mind it at all.
