 | |  | | I realize this thread is a couple of weeks old, but I'm new to the group and just discovered it... thought I would throw in my 2 cents. Jack loved the two female dogs who were here when he was a puppy (both of whom have since passed away), and he immediately seemed to fall in love (literally!) with Lizzy when she came to live with us. Lizzy is our spayed Sheltie mix. HOWEVER, we brought a female ACD home from the pound about 5 months ago, very sweet, and Jack wouldn't have anything to do with her. (We wound up not keeping her because she became aggressive towards Lizzy.) We now have a Shih Tzu mix puppy (male), and again, Jack doesn't like him. He growls and snaps if Mojo tries to approach him, and he has "disciplined" Mojo a few times... this is scary and sounds like an attack, but he has never hurt him... He makes a lot of noise and holds Mojo down with his mouth for a few seconds, then lets him back up, tail between his legs. Jack just doesn't seem to want any dog friends except Lizzy. |  |  | |  |
