Clio's mom here: This is a great question! I've been owned by dogs since I can remember smile Every one of them had their own personality and all made me smile snoopy Having dogs I never cease to laugh at their antics, their excitement when I come home, the little tricks they learn, and how they love to cuddle. Like what others have said before, I can not imagine my life without dogs and I hope to have the strength as I get older to always have one in my life. puppy

I know this is a really old thread but I wanted to respond.

I love Sadie because she makes everything ok! An example...two days ago I got up and let her out to go potty in the backyard. I was in pain and hadn't slept for almost two days. I was staring outside watching her and as she walked back in the house she cocked her head from one side to the other and came over to me. I bent down and she licked my face and put a paw on my knee. I love the way she can make me go from angry or sad to feeling all warm and fuzzy and content with life. We've only been together for a year but I cannot imagine what life was like without her anymore.

Wow...where do I begin? Most days Montana and Bailey are the reason I get up in the mornings. My son Michael, who is 18, lives in CA with his father so my dogs are my children. When I am sad all they have to do is look at me with their beautiful faces and I smile. I love them so much. Montana is so funny. He lays down on his side and throws his front legs out and makes these funny sounds and then talks. He will do that for 5 mins straight and by the time he is done I am laughing. When Bailey and I play fetch she will bounce and pounce on the ball. It is so funny. My dogs make me smile more then anything. They relieve my stress. I call them my therapy dogs. They really are. They are also my guinea pigs and they are so good at letting me do whatever I need to do to practice what I am learning to be a Vet Tech. Most of all it is the little things they do to make my life better. I would do anything for them. I am obsessed with feeding them healthy food, taking them to the vet at the first sign they aren't feeling good and just making them as happy as they make me. I don't want to say they are my life....but at times they are. big grin

I love dogs in general because I'm an only child and our dogs were always like the brother or sister I never had (and I never wanted a human brother or sister smile.

I love Kya because she acts like a total princess and it makes me laugh. And I'm pretty sure she's OCD. smile Instead of going straight out back when I open the door, she has to walk around the breakfast table first. And when I give her a rawhide or pig ear, she has to eat it on the bed and I have to be sitting on the bed with her (but I'm not allowed to get too close to her or the treat ). She expects to be the center of attention no matter where we are and she LOVES to have her picture taken. All my friends say that I've turned her into a doggy version of me. shock

I love Willie because he's so loving and affectionate. He's perfectly happy to cuddle on the couch with us and always wants to be where we are. It surprises me that he can be so loving when it's pretty obvious that he was abused and then put out on the streets. He just seems to love life.

I love that Leika loves me even though she doesn't show it too much. I really saw it come through when Val got adopted. We both got attached to him after almost 3 months of living with him. Leika was sad just like I was and came to me for comfort over the first couple of days after Val left.

Feared by the- Bad, Loved by- the Good

I love my dogs and my cats just as much as my kids. Before I got Robin Hood , I had a dog named Bowser. He was a pit bull & lab mix. We went thru alot together in his 18 years with me. There were alot of good times and alot of bad times. He was with my son and a neighbors boy when they decided to go on a walk into the woods behind our house. He stayed with them and barked until we found them. He was with me, putting his head in my lap letting me know he wasn't leaving me when I was getting a divorce. He cried with me when I lost my mom. He spent his 18 years watching over me and my kids and we loved him dearly.

Mommy loves most animals but Dogs are one of her favorites cause they love us back..... They don't judge you by your looks and they tend to forgive us when we make a mistake.....

Most humans can't or won't be that way which is really sad

I've always been an absolute dog lover. Ever since I was a little boy at home any dog that we had was always my dog. I always fed and took them out. Before Wrigley came into our lives we had our precious Cody for 14 yrs. The time finally came that we had to put him to sleep.heartbreaking. This was on July 12th 2005. I couldn't go to work the next day. We couldn't eat or sleep very well. Then on the 16th my daughter in law called to tell me about some 8 wk old huskies. I said I wasn't ready yet. All 4 of my grown up kids got involved so we went to see these huskies just to appease them. My kids were there when my wife and I got there. They said there were 2 huskies left 1 male 1 female. They were running around in the yard. One had fluffier fur than the other. I fell in love with the fluffy one and said to myself.please God let that be the male. It was and it was love at first sight. I asked my wife, she looked in his eyes and said yes, he's the one.He mended our broken hearts. He's a wonderful companion. loving, funny, mischevous, loves hiking so he keeps me young. I adore him. One of my son's went back that evening and adopted the female, so brother and sister are in our family. Together forever.

Nala

Baby I was born- to run!

I don't know why Nala Wala and I love each other but we do. She keeps me company when I'm up typing on the computer at home late at night. She greets me at the door with a wag and a smile on her face. She makes me smile. I had two other dogs before Nala came to our home. We had one for 15 years and the other for 17. They were full grown when I had my daughter. I went without a dog for 10 months (that's the longest I've been without a dog in my life!) When I pet her or scratch her ears there is a peace that comes over me. It's nice. No judgements, just her eyes closing in contentment. I don't understand how anyone couldn't NOT like a dog! It's like Nala and I were just waiting for each other. She is the sweetest dog. She was a rescue but it was more of her rescuing me.little angel
