 |  |  |  | Ooohh, Jasmine, I know it has been a while, but I got some new stuff for weaving and it gets pretty neat because the cue winds up being body position. You want to shape it. So here is how it goes.
Get the dog in a heel/stand position. Now, move your right leg a bit in front of the left, knee slightly bent, on the ball of your foot (not quite your tip toes). Look to the right of your leg. It's not easy for me, because Ash is small, but click and reinforce even a head mo9vement in the right direction. Gradually shape the behavior till the dog is going between your legs, then up it to two weaves ect.
If the dog is really not getting it (and Ash usually follows my eye movement, so he did get it) you can use a hand target on the other side of the leg, but fade it as fast as you can because you want the cue to be the leg position.
Whatch some HTM videos and when they start weaving, look at their leg positions. |  |  |  |  |
