I AM The Top Cat- In Our Home!

 | | Barked: Wed May 21, '08 6:31am PST | |  | |  | | was sitting at the window in my cozy wee house,
When all of a sudden I heard a noise, it sounded like a mouse!
I sat very still, and listened with care,
Then I saw mousie shadow, and oh did I stare!
He twitched and I twitched but eye contact we held,
I couldn’t stand it any longer, I felt impelled.
To catch that mouse and make it mine,
Upon that critter I would dine!
My mouth started to water, just thinking of my feast.
Something to anticipate, to say the very least!
I crouched in the corner, behind the blue chair,
Be brave little mouse, try and run , if you dare.
But, NO, he turned quickly and with a big grin,
Sat up on his haunches and wiggled his chin.
With that, my friends, the gauntlet was thrown,
I knew I had to make him my own
I jumped at him and grabbed his long tail,
When he felt my teeth, he started to wail.
About that time, I heard Mom say:
"I am a vegetarian - from you I shall take him away!" |  |  | |  |
