 |  |  |  | What’s the project?
Our last scrapbook was a success so we are doing it again! What did we do last time? From the inspiration of Colyn, Roxie suggested creating a scrapbook for SPCA of Nevada where her Mom volunteers her time. From the pages created by this group, her Mom can nw display adoptable pups in a beautiful display and each page is unique and captures the attention of potential fur owners!
Which rescue and pup will be receiving the book?
We are currently looking for that special rescue so once we determine who it will be, we will update the post!!! Can't wait!!! If you know a pup whose Mom or Dad volunteers at a rescue, then please let us know so we can p-mail them! We just want to get a headstart looking for pups who can do scrapbook pages! Yippee!
What can you do?
It’s simple! Sign up by posting here! We ask that when you sign up, you commit to do at least one page for the book - we will need about 30 pages. So be sure to tell us how many pages you will be creating.
I will update this thread to record who signed up to date and number of pages they will submit.
What should my page look like?
• Scrapbook page should be 8.5x11 or smaller;
• The page can be created digitally or by hand – your choice!;
• Please leave a 4x5 space on the page for a photo. This will allow the rescue to switch photos by attaching photo corners to the page.
• Page themes include: girl or boy page, patriotic, birthday, category specific (sports, hunting, toy, etc), size specific (small, medium, large dogs) and anything you think would help adopt a pup!
• At the bottom of the page, include “This page is donated by (your name and hometown)”. We want you to be recognized too!
UPDATE (9/28/07)
When creating your page, please be sure to state in a corner of the page "This page donated by YOUR NAME from YOUR CITY, STATE". We did this the last time and we thought it was nice to (a) give each of you credit and (b) show that pups from all over the country volunteered for this project to help these wonderful pups!
When is it due?
We will not determine a due date until the rescue is chosen. The pup who will receive the book will be able to provide us with a date certain.
Who should I send it to?
Roxie has volunteered to put the book together and then send it to its destination unless the pup would like to put it all together. For now, the process will be to send your digital pages to Roxie’s mom at roxievigil@charter.net. If by snail mail, please e-mail her at the same e-mail address and she will provide you with her home address. If sending by snail mail, please be sure that the page(s) are well protected. We suggest using a bubble envelope with a stiff cardboard inside. Also, in large print, please state “DO NOT FOLD”.
I have another question, who should I ask?
Post in this thread any question you may have. Alternatively, you can just p-mail us.
Thanks every pup! This is a great project and I hope you will enjoy it as much as we will! I love this wonderful group effort! Let's help those pups get adopted!!!
