Mom decided to print one of my happy pictures and put it in the bathroom. I know it sounds strange, but that's one of the places she misses me the most. It was our special cuddle time, and she misses my happy face in there.

Preshy and Cisco - those are great ideas (and places) for photos!!! Absolutely, they should be everywhere......Mommy remembers years ago an aunt of hers was killed in a car accident. And Mommy's Grandma had a picture of her (Aunt Lorraine), in the living room, and she said she always said good morning to her.

Of course she did!!!! And Mommy always says hi to me.....when she walks by my picture, she says "hi Ri-Ri". Sometimes she winks. Sometime she talks to me...like the other day, she was in Brooklyn for work. She was IN the Marriott parking garage, and there was an oak leaf. Ahem. Let's see....in Bklyn (there are not a lot of trees in NYC), and INSIDE a parking garage, and she just smiled and said, "hi Ri-Ri" and picked it up and saved it with the rest of the oak leaves I have sent her.

So Preshy - tell your mom, put your picture everywhere and anywhere it makes her feel better. You have been gone just a short time. Mom needs to see you all the time , and that is just fine!!!

Cisco - your mom has a picture of you in her closet, huh? Hmmmmm, maybe I'll let mommy know about that. cloud 9

Thanks! I have a question though - is there a story about oak leaves? I've seen a few people mention them before in the group.

My ashes should be back today. Mom is keeping her phone close so she can go pick them up right away. I never did like being at the vet office.

Yes Preshy.... Know that today will be a little more difficult day for your mommy again but it is all part of the healing process. It is ok and she will be ok. Mom...... take that time you need to grieve don't try to stuff it. Also, take your time in deciding what you want to do with her ashes to. They are not going anywhere. Don't let anyone talk you into doing anything with them that you do not want to do yourself. Everyone else always seems to know what is best but only you will know in time. There are so many options as well as doing nothing but keeping them for now. You will know what feels right.
Sending lots of hugs today.hughughughughughughughughughug We love you.

The vet still hasn't called. Poor mom just wants me to come home. We know it will be a terribly emotional day, and the anticipation of the phone call isn't helping any.

I always did take my time coming inside though. Mom should be used to it by now.
