STORY: May was in a high kill shelter in NW Georgia. Her time was up so she needed to bust out of there! She is now living the good life in foster care and learning the ways of her new pack. May is very sweet and loves to be loved. She doesn't like when other dogs get in her face and even worse if they are hyper. She will give them a warning and if they don't listen she will start and arguement, but never harm the irritator. She loves to be with her human and doesn't want to be left alone. She is reliably potty trained and keeps a clean crate when she has to be crated. May sleeps next to her foster moms bed in a doggie bed and usually doesn't get up until she awakes. It seems she may have had a hard life before coming into Ratbone so we are taking it day by day and know she will be an awesome companion for her forever family. May is very smart and loves to learn for food. She is one amazing gal!

Turner is near and dear to my heart. One of the volunteers who put up his page volunteers for the rescue and is a close friend of mine and on dogster. So to see him in a GREAT home would be our greatest joy!
STORY: Turner has been with Eleventh Hour Rescue for over a year, waiting patiently for his forever home. He is Perfect in every way, and I love him dearly. It kills me every day to walk into the kennel and see him standing there, staring at me, hoping today's the day I take him to adoption events or to Dairy Queen. I know Turner's forever people are out there somewhere, searching as hard for him as he is for them; and I know they will see in him what I do..
Bio:
Turner is the perfect sized dog, weighing in at about 50 lbs. He loves to cuddle, and melts to the floor when he gets scratches. Turner is about 2 years old, and knows his basic commands. He is also submissive to other dogs, and has yet to meet a dog he didn't instantly try and play with.
Thank ya, Miss Mia, for making my pal Turner the adoptable dog of the week. Getting a forever home would make this ol' man and our entire family the happiest people on earth. On the few occasions I've been able to play with Turner (Mommy doesn't let me go to the kennel often because of my compromised immune system), he has been a true gentleman towards me.
Daddy goes and plays catch with him all the time, and Mommy goes everyday and shares her lunch with him. They love him to pieces and it's returned by Turner tenfold.
BOL! We realized that the foster family tried to find her a home but ended up loving her! So we are happy to report she is with her furever family! We are posting another pup below!
Breed: Australian Shepherd
Gender: Female
Age: 5 years old
Location: Dallas, NC
SPECIAL ATTRIBUTE: She is a Lethal White Australian Shepherd. For those that do not know what that means, she is Blind (partially-about 85%) and deaf. This is a result of her parents both being Merle. Merle to Merle breeding results in at LEAST 25% of the litter being born with varying to total degrees of Blindness and Deafness.
STORY: Kenyon was rescued from a Kill Shelter in Georgia. Her puppies had been taken into a rescue, and she was left behind. Several Good People with ARPH (Australian Shepherd Rescue) joined in and saved her, pulling her from the shelter, fostering her and getting her on her way to us. We drove to Georgia and picked her up from another wonderful ARPH volunteer thinking we would just foster her until her forever home came around. We then decided that she is soo special and fits in so well with their existing crew that she is going to STAY here! Kenyon and Lilly Belle LOVE to play with each other and even gang up on Wyatt and Pete occasionally. Being Blind and Deaf doesnt slow her down! She has a remarkable nose and can sense when you are in the room.

STORY: Stax was born to a beautiful mom and dad in Oklahoma. I didn't want a bulldog because at the time I was more interested in a dog that I could put in my purse! As soon as I went to look at some puppies for sale, I was sold! We ended up not being able to get the first ones we loved because they were so expensive, but we ended up finding an even better one, Bubba!
I have recently came across hard financial times due to my separation from my husband. I hate to do this but my bully needs a home! He will be 3 in November and is beautiful. He deserves so much more that what I can give him right now! Please send a message if interested. I would only like local people within 50 miles of Los Angeles. Based on his experience with male dogs, I believe that he does better with female dogs. He is not agressive but will try to dominate the male for hours on end! Check out his page for pictures. Thanks.
