Breed: Chow Chow
Gender: Male
Age: 16 years old
Location: Georgia
Neutered/Spayed: unknown but assumed yes
Special Needs: Senior
STORY: He isnt ready for rainbow bridge yet!! This one is a real heart-breaker. I just received word that the owners of a beautiful, BLIND 16-YEAR OLD CHOW dumped him yesterday at a high kill shelter in Georgia (the Spaulding County Animal Control Shelter in Griffin, GA); this shelter still uses the GAS CHAMBER!!
Is there anyone out there who might be able to open their heart and home to this beautiful, dignified senior Chow boy? He deserves far better than a gas chamber death. *** If anyone can help, the phone number to the Spaulding shelter is (770) 467-4772. *** The shelter is open M-F, from 10:00am-4:00pm EST. Please, please hurry, as this sad boy's last day is September 19 (next Wednesday). His I.D. number is B07-0498.
Is there any chance that perhaps Best Friends Rescue in Utah could get involved? I would be happy to donate some $$ if it would help get him to a safe haven.
Thank you Sara for the great suggestion and it's so wonderful that every pup got together, had a rescue involved and Morgan is now safe and loved with the foster Mom and getting better every day! Yay!
Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Whippet
Gender: Male
Age: 1 year old
Location: Kernersville, NC
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Special Needs: None
Talents: Housebroken, crate trained, good with cats, dogs and children and no appearance of aggression. Maybe be a little shy with strangers but warms up to them. Foster Mom believes he would be great as either a service dog OR someone who needs a partner to run with!
STORY: Joker was abandoned in the first year of his life to a high-kill shelter and was immediately rescued by One Critter Atta Time Animal Rescue, based in Greensboro, NC. Joker lives with his foster Mommy Natalie in Kernersville, NC. Joker has 5 doggy brothers and sisters of various sizes and plays well with them indoors and out. He does not appear to have any aggression issues. He is a bit shy around stangers but loves to play and snuggle once he gets to know you. He is also house-broken and crate-trained!
Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer
Gender: Male
Age: 1 year old
Location: Agoura Hills, CA (adoptable within 45 miles)
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Special Needs: None
Talents: Bluto can sit and shake. He is gentle taking treats. He is best in a home as a solo pet but if there is another dog, he should be with a sibling who can play a lot and play hard!
STORY: Bluto was turned in as a stray back in February 2007. Waiting for months to find his pawfect home, an urgent cross post was sent around concerning this pup which is below...
Bluto is at the Agoura Shelter. He is in danger of
being PTS due to lack of cage space. Volunteers at
the shelter are taking in temp fosters to try to
alleviate the space shortage. Bluto has been at
the shelter the longest and he is a pit mix, so he
is in danger.
If you can foster him or if you would like to
adopt him please let me know. He is in Southern
California and he is a nice dog. He is a big
goofball and he loves people. He plays ball and he
does like some dogs so if you have one we can do
an intro to see if they get along. Bluto likes to
play and he plays hard so he would need a playmate
who could match his play level.
PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN SO HE HAS A CHANCE TO LIVE THE GOOD LIFE.

STORY: PART DEUX OF THE KANSAS CITY SIX PACK!
Don't know who the Six Pack are? They were a group of pups wo were rescued back in December 2006 by our own Dogster pals and members who united to save this family. Visit the original thread on this this Christmas Miracle story! And you can visit the new thread for who the same dogster pups are saving now - their brother Levi!!!! Lets help adopt him!
thanks Mia for posting Levi and Uncle Buck. at this minute they should be being rescued from the Hutchinson, KS shelter. Riley's (from Nebraska) and Takoda's (from Iowa) moms drove down to pull them and will be taking them back to Nebraska.
the entire Christmas 2006 rescue story of the original KS 6-pack puppies can be seen at Cutest Dog Ever below Levi and Uncle Buck. neither of these rescues could not have taken place without the help and support of MANY Dogsters from ALL over the country. Each of the 6-pack are still Dogters, so we get frequent follow-ups.
