Just to add what I've heard, our trainer said that Greenies have too much gelatin in them, and that is what makes them dangerous. I love my compressed rawhide bone. It is stinky but good!

I bought a greenies treat for my dog once...he was trying to gobble it down so fast i was afraid he would try and swallow it whole and choke so i took it away from him.

Well my dogs used to eat them and yes they do have something indigestible because my dogs were always getting sick..yuck!
