Please use this thread to put updates on critters or people we have been praying for. If we use the regular messages...they get lost in a few days. Thanks and God bless!dancing

Sunday, June 17, 2007...update on Indy (from pawmail received)

Hi! Thank you all so much for the beautiful Butterfly Rosette you sent me. I love it! Thank you for joining in on my Lovetoindy stroll to and also for the pawmail. You are all so kind! And thanks for the prayers too. I really need them right now. So if you wouldn't mind could you keep them coming. Mommy thinks I'm getting worse and she really doesn't know what to do next. We're still waiting to hear from the second doctor.

Thank you all so much for everything. Take care and hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks again!

Luv & Hugs -- Indy

That is good news about Indy, I am glad for the improvement.
I am having a hard time updating the prayers for the little ones, so please just keep praying, until I know something.

Update for my grandaughter Jenny, Tuesday June 19th.
They called my grandaughter, and we believe she has the job, I appreciate the prayers for her. There are no small requests for God to answer! In this case, he has given her the job.
Thank you all for praying for her.

Subject: Agatha Update Sent: Tue Jun 19

Message:
Keep those candles lit! And the prayers coming as God's healing power is coming for Agathat. She just HAS to stay 'quite' (HARD, very HARD to do for a CAIRN!) for the meds to work

Sophie
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Here's the report:

Thank you, Sophie for keeping this up. We have some good news to report!

Monika's vet (who is VERY good) looked at the blood work closely because she was convinced there was an underlying cause for the anemia. It turns out she has Erhlichia (single celled creature in her blood). That's comparatively easy to treat with Doxicylene (sp?). She's been on her medicine since Friday and she's doing great. When Monika picked her up at the vet yesterday, she said Agatha was a different dog. She was almost 'spunky'. She still needs to be kept quiet (like with heartworm treatment), but she's responding well to the medicine which is wonderful. I think we're almost out of the woods with her. She should be ready to travel in a couple of weeks! smile

Thanks for all of your prayers and concern. I'll keep you updated on this little girl.

RE: Indy http://www.dogster.com/dogs/322790

It’s with a heavy heart that I tell you our dear pal Indy left last night to make his journey to the Bridge. He was just so weak and ready to go home. He had been battling the brain tumor and lump along with a recent ulcer on his eye.

Please join me in praying for his family as they struggle with his loss. Most of us have been there and know there are no words to take the pain away. Just knowing his family has friends to close ranks and keep them in their prayers will make Indy happy.

Thank you all for your generous hearts and loving kindnesses.
God be with you all,
Tinker Belle

Tuesday, June 26, 2007 Update on Beacon

Subject: Re: Serious Prayer need - Beacon Sent: Tue Jun 26

Message:
Hmmmm once more amazing results of prayer but we will STILL neend to keep on top of this one... BEACON

Heres from her fosser mom:
Sophie
++++++++++++++++++++++

Beacon had her consultation examination at the University of Missouri today. This was to be a precursor to her broncoscopy procedure and hopefully stent surgery tomorrow.

The University ran extensive tests and indepth xrays on Beacon and concluded that she has a very narrow trachea, but couldn't definitely say that she has a collapsed trachea. They were able to determine that she has enough air exchange for now to survive. If it truly is a collapsed trachea, it is a progressive, degenerative disease and will not get better, although it could stabilize and not get any worse. They like to think of the stent procedure as a salvage procedure when there are no other alternatives or options for survival.

For now, Beacon will be started on a medical management protocol including antibiotics, steroids and a cough suppressant to make sure there is no underlying infection. She will need to be kept relatively quiet, well at least quiet by Cairn puppy standards. In a month's time, we will once again take her back to University of Missouri for a follow-up exam to determine if there is anything changed either for the better or the worse and she will once again be evaluated at that time as a possible candidate for a stent.

Stacey Wagers has agreed to foster Beacon as she lives within a reasonable distance of the University of Missouri and will be able to get Beacon back for her follow-up visit. Stacey will also be keeping a diary on Beacon to track all episodes so she can report back to the vet.

So, for now, we are on hold for Beacon's surgery. But that doesn't mean that she doesn't continue to need your positive thoughts, energy and prayers. This little girl is far from being out of the woods and her medical expenses are just starting.

Subject: UPDATE on SISSY KITTY Sent: Thu Jun 28

Message:
Here's a message from Sissy's mom: Purrrayers are a blessing here!

Let's go for the 15% SUCCESS rate!~
Sophie
=============================

I will update for all who prayed and are interested in Sissy. She has a breast tumor, which in cats is 85% fatal. Our doctor called and said she was doing fine after surgery and could have come home. However, we are finishing our move tomorrow with the movers coming and I would not be able to watch her as closely as I should.

I looked up on the internet and it does not sound promising, however, we will wait until the test results come back from Purdue. Our doctor for our kitties is such a wonderful, faithful man and I trust him thoroughly with our furry babies.

The way I am looking at this is just that we are blessed that Yvette found the lump, as I probably would not have. Sissy is not like Remy, but then they are like people, all have their own personalities. She is not a lap cat and I do not have to comb her like I do the Persians, (Remy, William and Casanova) so I rarely check her tummy. She only likes to rub your feet or have you rub her chin and head. She is a Manx and her fur feels like rabbits' fur. She has a really loud "motor" too.

So, again I thank those of you who prayed and wrote to me and please keep praying. For some reason I just have a calmness about this, like I did with my own breast cancer. I know God will take care of all of His children.

Love to each!

Wow am I tired!!! This moving when you are older, well, "hurts." We did a lot, but still had movers and now again. We had two condos to move out of, too much stuff. We are definitely going to have a garage sale.

Love and
I remain His humble servant,
Altalee

Update on Marc: June 29th @ 6:17 PM EST.

Marc, ended up having an 8 hour surgery. (it was supposed to be 5-6 hours) It took so long because he had puss caked into his spine. We found out today, that he even has puss in his bone marrow. He's in ICU, at the moment. (intensive care unit)

They have created a blog and they will put any updates on Marc on there. Check out the blog at: www.marcupdate.blogspot.com
