Dear Doodle Loungers,

This week after testing we discovered our son is allergic to Ozzie. We are all devastated and need to find Ozzie an exceptional home as soon as possible. If any of you Doodles are interested in Ozzie and are within driving distance please paw mail me. We live in Cortlandt Manor, NY zip code 10591. I want this to be as easy as possible for her and do not want to ship her.

Ozzie is a really great dog with a mellow disposition. She is smart and sensitive. She would thrive in a home with kids and another friendly dog (especially if she is going to be left for part of the day). She is spade and micro chipped. She is completely up to date with shots as well. Ozzie is 6 months old and 95% housebroken.

I can't tell you how awful this is for us. We love Ozzie very much and expected to spend many many years with her. We are reaching out to the Doodle Lounge knowing what dedicated pet owners you all are. If anyone has room in their heart and home for this amazing dog please paw mail me ASAP.

You mean me Chewbacca? No, I am not a breeder. We bought Ozzie from a breeder in Washington State. We kept in touch during the pregnancy and all the way to the day she came to us on an airplane. We have been loving Ozzie since before she was born. Why do you ask?

How is it going with your search? I am praying for your situation. I also wanted to tell you that I have a friend that developed allergies after having her dog for a a year. Hers was a little toy poodle, so it even happens with the purebred dogs too. Everyone is different so do not feel bad that it also happened to your son. It can happen sometimes, and as the old saying goes, hindsight is always 20/20. I know you love Ozzie and feel sad, I would too. Just hang in there.

Is there a friend nearby that loves Ozzie that could keep her so you could still see her?

I asked because, I do Breed Goldendoodles, and have a strict policy that if for any reason/age/health that the owner is unable to keep their new family member.... I the breeder gets him/her back no questions asked.

I know I myself would pay the flight of one of my pups if they had a reason to no longer provide the proper care for them. (Although I WILL NOT ship) I want to personally meet each potential parent, and do an extensive interview etc. along with a spay/nueter contract by 6 months.

I was wondering what your breeder is doing to? I hate to say it the reason so many people hate oodles and mixes isn't the dogs but the breeders/BYB and Puppymills. What angers so many people is the false Garuantees these breeders give ... like Hypoallergnic and non shed.... This is why alot of these pups get relocated, because they are bought under false pretenses...

I am crossing my paws Ozzie Lu!!! Oh by the way, I am from the same breeder (Ozzie's sis) and she sent out an email to all of us about your situation, asking if anyone would be interested in a lovely sister for their dog. It was very nice and she mentioned what a great dog Ozzie is as well as your Dogster page for us to see you. I am sure someone will come forward, you are waaaayyyy to cute to let go by. Keep me in mind if you would consider shipping.

I see what you mean Chewbacca. I did contact the breeder and she did offer to take her back. I just really think it would be more traumatic for her than finding a family we could drive her too or better yet one near by. Some Doodle Lounge dogs have come forward which I am very grateful for. I am just waiting to hear from a local family that has visited a couple of times and seems pretty serious about her. That would be ideal. This family is very similar to ours so I think the transition would be very easy and they have another dog that is friendly and good natured so that is a bonus for Ozzie. Plus, Ozzie would be near by and I could see her occasionally.

Abbey, I would love to send her to you because I know you would love her and after all they do have the same Dad! I just want to see if I can avoid sending her on a plane first. I would also love a Dogster dog to take her because I know they will keep her page going and it would be great to check in on her that way too.
