...what has been your most laughable pup parent experience?

I have too many to count but the most "scandalous" funny moment was when Jerry had a group of friends over after a racing event and his friend Dave, who had too much to drink, was not allowed to hold Shift. I simply said, "Dave, you are really not in any condition to hold Shift." Oh, boy did that get a rise from the house guests that night. Oh, well, he is my baby and I would do it all over again.

Lol I can relate to that story, my brother came over and he also had to much to drink, and this being the first time he met Tawni and Laci, he wanted to hold Tawni, he scooped her up and I flew over to him and stood real close and told him you do not get to hold her now grabbed her back and he was so mad at me! But hey one drop and it could hurt her badly or end her life, she has had two front broken legs and she is a tiny lil peanut she only weighs 2.5 pounds I vow to never let anything happen to either one of my girls!!

We had a friend over and Ellie Mae was a young pup. She was sitting in his lap so sweetly and being so good and all of a sudden she passed gas loudly. He put Ellie down and said it was the dog not him.We all said "right". She has gotten me a few times toolaugh out loud

Vi, that reminds me of a joke my mom told me a long time ago about the fiance who went to meet his girlfriend's parents for the first time. The family's dog, Buster, took to him immediately and did not leave his lap. Continually, the nervous young man passed gas due to nerves, and every time, the Mom of the family said, "Buster!" in a harsh tone, so, he thought, "oh, I am home free...she is blaming the dog." Finally the Mom says, "Buster! Buster, get away from him or he will blow you right out of this livingroom."

Sorry, I just had to....

True Story -

A few week ago we packed up the family for our weekend trip to petsmart. When we went in there was a crate FULL of Kittens sitting 5 feet from the boxer rescue group. Nala being the fun loving pup that she is ran full speed and jumped on the crate as it fell all I could think is Oh S@#t when all the kittems got loose...Was not so bad until the boxers that were looking for furever homes saw them and all hell broke loose. So I can say from first hand exp that your puppy opening a crate full of cats on a busy saturday next to 6 not so well trained hyper Boxers can and will get you kicked outta petsmart.

Although there was absolutely no humor abounding at the time of this incident, after a couple of years have passed by the incident has become quite laughable .

In a wink of an eye I found "Brillo" and myself plastered to the street right behind the "GOLDEN NUGGET" bleeding, battered, and broken. A cab had run a stop sign...floored it and excellerated right through both of us. Brillo was severly hurt(multiple fractures, internal bruising and severe roadrash). I was left with a nasty concussion , busted ankle and basically stoved up all over from the impacts.

The now funny/crazy part happened... the EMT's show up and immediately put me in the ambulance. I was out of my mind... in alot of pain... and suffering from the concussion. I heard "brillo" bark and through all the haze in my mind I realized we were about to leave him all alone (he would of died... he was in shock on top of all his existing problems). I asked the EMT guy to get my dog and he told me that it was against policy for the dog to get in... "WHAT" I came up off the bed and had to wrestle my way out of the ambulance. They thought I was acting out because of my head injury.... The police came over and tried to get me back in the bus. (I fought the law and "I" won") They finally gave in and made me sign a paper of refusal of service. Looking back ... that had to be hilarious to the bystanders but there was "NO WAY" I was leaving "Brillo".

We ended up taking A cab to the emergency vet hospital and finally I ended up at the hospital about 3 hours later.... Would you fight "the Law" for your dogs life ?????
