 | | | | My Mom found out about the doggie dentist from my Vet. The trained dental technicians come to the Vet's office a couple of days a week. There is anesthetic dental (for thoose with bad teeth), teeth are scaled and polished while the pet is under anesthesia and bad teeth and retained baby teeth may be extracted. Then there is the kind of dental care that I get, Non-Anesthetic Dental my teeth are scaled and polished without anesthesia. I am not very happy after having my teeth cleaned but, I know that my mom does it because it is good for me. My Mom's last poodle had to have some of her teeth extracted because she never saw the doggie dentist (only because my mom did not know about them either, at the time). Although I am not to found of the doggie dentist, I don't have a problem with "doggie breath." Plus, my vet told me that I am not allowed to have greenies (or that type of teeth cleaner), my vet does not reccomend them because so many of us choke on them and have to have surgery. Hope this helps. | | | | |
