1st Brain Teaser:

A fire engine was rushing to a small fire, 15 miles away. The fire engine set out with 120 gallons of water, however, the water tank had a leak and the fire engine was losing water at the rate of 2 gallons per minute. The fire engine travelled at a constant 30 miles per hour. The fire required 50 gallons of water - did the fire engine have enough water when it arrived?

Yes: the journey took 30 minutes. In that time the fire engine lost 60 gallons of water-leaving 60 gallons with which to fight the fire.

Ok- I don't like spiders or snakes, but I'll try to solve this one.

I know that spiders have 8 legs and 1 head. I know that snakes do not have legs but have 1 head.

Soo... 8 spiders would have 64 legs and 8 heads, and 10 snakes would have 10 heads, so my guess is 8 spiders and 10 snakes.

4th Brain Teaser:

Arlene has a chessboard and a set of 32 dominoes. Each domino is just the right size to cover two squares on the chessboard. She can cover all 64 squares of the chessboard with her 32 dominoes, and she can do it in many different ways.

What if Arlene removes two squares at opposite corners of the chessboard and subtracts one domino?
