Hi Everyone. We are happy to join the group. We are glad to share what we know, and hope to learn a bunch from all of you. We are a bit unique in the fact that our business is cooking meals for dogs. 1) How old are you? When is your birthday? 3 years old, February 24

2) Where do you live? South Florida

3) How long has your Mom/Dad been feeding you home cooked food? All my life

4) What sparked your Mom/Dad's interest in home cooked food? The severe lack of any quality dog food, and the fact my daddy is a chef.

5) What is your usual meal? I eat a wonderful mix of ground beef, chicken, russet potatoes, broccoli, squash, carrots, cheddar cheese, bran flakes, a touch of garlic, and safflower oil.

6) What do you hate to eat? Allergic to any food? hmmmmm

7) Do you add supplements? Which ones? Not Presently, except for Kelp

8) And what is your favorite treat? you can tell us whether it's homemade or not. Well, whatever falls on the floor is mine, lol. I also love apples, pears, broccoli, and our own fresh baked treats.

9) On a scale of 1 to 10 (1=willing to learn and 10=hoping to help others!), how much does your Mom and/or Dad know about home cooked food? My dad is a 10 if you want to know how to cook something. Overall, a modest 7dealing with the nutritional aspect and such.

3) How long has your Mom/Dad been feeding you home cooked food? 0 days, but hopefully real soon!!

4) What sparked your Mom/Dad's interest in home cooked food? Mom found out about the yucky stuff in some kibble and decided she'd like to cook our food herself

5) What is your usual meal? We were eating a poor kibble but mom has swapped us over to Wellness

6) What do you hate to eat? Allergic to any food? We LOVE to eat any and everything!! No allergies that we know of.

7) Do you add supplements? Which ones? No

8) And what is your favorite treat? you can tell us whether it's homemade or not. We love to eat doggie bisquits and cheese and bacon and pig ears and we could go on and on!!!!!

I am 2 years old. I was born on August 3, 2004.

3) How long has your Mom/Dad been feeding you home cooked food?

Mom hasn't been feeding me home cooked food yet, but with the recall happening right now, she's thinking about it.

4) What sparked your Mom/Dad's interest in home cooked food?

The massive pet food recall has Mom worried about what she feeds me.

5) What is your usual meal?

My usual meal is a can of canned food. I usually eat Merrick's Cowboy Cookout or Grammy's Pot Pie, or Innova (green can). We're going to try Natural Balance's canned food to see if I like that. I used to also each the Nutro Natural Choice Pouched food, but Mommy stopped buying that after the recall. Those were my favorite. frown

Mommy also gives me dry food for me to nibble on when I'm super hungry. I like the Solid Gold Hund n Flocken and Innova Evo.

6) What do you hate to eat? Allergic to any food?

I'm a super picky eater. Mommy has tried several brands of canned food, and there are a few I refuse to touch. I'm even pickier when it comes to dry food. We have tried numerous brands of dry food, and there are only 2 mommy has found that I will consistently eat. Luckily, I'm not allergic to anything.

7) Do you add supplements? Which ones?

Nope.

8) And what is your favorite treat? you can tell us whether it's homemade or not.

I love rawhides. Dingo brand rawhides are my absolute favorite. I also love the rawhides that have the flavor infused all the way throughout the rawhide. I'm not sure what brand they are. I love Bil-Jac treats, and my new favorite are the food rolls. Mommy uses them as treats for training. Yummy!!! And I love Trader Joe's biscuits, and Nutro's biscuits.

9) On a scale of 1 to 10 (1=willing to learn and 10=hoping to help others!), how much does your Mom and/or Dad know about home cooked food?

2 Mommy doesn't know much, but she knows what I shouldn't eat and is willing to learn more.

4) What sparked your Mom/Dad's interest in home cooked food? The pet food scare - we didn't eat that, but it got her to reading about the ingrediants in the food that we did eat and she did some research and decided that she was going to cook for us!

5) What is your usual meal? The first thing she made for us was ground Turkey with Chicken hearts and gizzards, sweet potatoes, carrots, brocolli, brown rice, cottage cheese and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese

6) What do you hate to eat? Allergic to any food? I don't think we hate anything! And so far no allergies that we know of.

7) Do you add supplements? Which ones? No - but we think we might need to

8) And what is your favorite treat? you can tell us whether it's homemade or not. Milkbones! one a day at bedtime after we go outside. We really like yogurt and Newmans heart shaped cookies

3) How long has your Mom/Dad been feeding you home cooked food? We eat a human grade dry food mixed with home cooked food. (approx. 4 months)

4) What sparked your Mom/Dad's interest in home cooked food? Fear of what is in products that could harm us or cause allergies.

5) What is your usual meal? Merrick Wilderness Blend mixed with slow cooked chicken or beef and vegetables at night. Merrick Wilderness Blend with a small spoon of plain, nonfat yogurt for breakfast.

6) What do you hate to eat? Allergic to any food? I won't eat just a plain run of the mill dry dog food...gross. No food allergies known.

7) Do you add supplements? Which ones? No supplements added.

8) And what is your favorite treat? you can tell us whether it's homemade or not. A homemade beef liver treat.

9) On a scale of 1 to 10 (1=willing to learn and 10=hoping to help others!), how much does your Mom and/or Dad know about home cooked food? Probably pretty close to a 1....we are newbies.

3) How long has your Mom/Dad been feeding you home cooked food? They just started since my Mom did so much research on dog food since the Menu Food recall.

4) What sparked your Mom/Dad's interest in home cooked food?
When she found out what the real ingredients are in dog food. She was shocked.

5) What is your usual meal? Blue Buffalo dog food right now, mixed with chicken and chicken broth. Looking for something better.

6) What do you hate to eat? Allergic to any food? I don't hate food, it is my friend BOL

8) And what is your favorite treat? you can tell us whether it's homemade or not. Gibbon gave me a recipe for Peanut Butter treats, my daddy made them and they are so good.
