I'm a picky eater and she's throwing away more canned food than I eat - she wants me to be healthy and eat good food so she's going to try home cooked meals for me. She bought LIVER today.
5) What is your usual meal?
I always have Innova EVO kibble and she'll keep feeding me that but no more canned food - she's tried everything, currently Innova EVO rabbit and venison - just liked it for a couple days - now I won't eat it.
6) What do you hate to eat? Allergic to any food?
I don't think I have allergies - I get sick of canned food!
7) Do you add supplements? Which ones?
No supplements so far but I get plain yogurt everyday and a little piece of canned (in water) fish and maybe a bit of cheese.
8) And what is your favorite treat? you can tell us whether it's homemade or not.
She hasn't made me treat yet but is collecting recipes and will be mixing a batch up soon. I love cheese and carrots and fish and I get 'good' doggie treats too.
9) On a scale of 1 to 10 (1=willing to learn and 10=hoping to help others!), how much does your Mom and/or Dad know about home cooked food?
1 = really wants to learn and really appreciates the 10's!!!!!

Pretty much since the day I arrived. In rescue, I was a raw fed pup. Mom spent countless hours researching a raw diet. She knew before I even arrived that she would be transitioning me over to cooked meals.
4) What sparked your Mom/Dad's interest in home cooked food? Optimum nutrition. Mom has kids and has always enjoyed preparing their meals from scratch when they were babies. She likes to know exactly what does and doesn't go into our mouths. She believes that when you are fed wholesome foods that are less processed, your body has the right ammunition for a good healthy foundation.
5) What is your usual meal? 75% meat & 25% veggies. Chicken and carrots or beef with green beans, etc. I have brown rice added 2-3 times each week. We are currently working in adding raw liver into my diet 3x a week. We need to take this slow as I have a sensitive puppy stomach.
6) What do you hate to eat? Allergic to any food? Well, I'm not sure if I'm allergic but I know that any marrow found in a raw bone sends me to the great outdoors WAY too much. I refuse to eat raw eggs. And I LOVE hard boiled eggs...however, they don't love me. They go right through my system and upset my stomach!
7) Do you add supplements? Which ones? Bone Meal, Probiotics, Salmon Oil
8) And what is your favorite treat? you can tell us whether it's homemade or not. Cheese, bully sticks, and Natural Balance rolls
9) On a scale of 1 to 10 (1=willing to learn and 10=hoping to help others!), how much does your Mom and/or Dad know about home cooked food? Well, she spends A LOT of time reading information about home cooked meals. She LOVES to learn, and is more than willing to help others!!!!

I never ate my dog kibble, and I had tear staining and skin itchies.

boiled chicken or pork, with rice and fish oil and supplements.

I don't really like eggs too much

I get animal naturals fish oil, and NZYMES treats.

I love almost all treats, whether it is a nice blueberry yogurt smoothie with no sugar, to my duck/venison wellbites

3) How long has your Mom/Dad been feeding you home cooked food? - They haven't started yet really. Daddy cooked Tidbit brekkie a couple times(eggs, cottage cheese, and some broccoli), but they don't know what consists of a full balanced healthy diet so they continue to feed us kibble.
4) What sparked your Mom/Dad's interest in home cooked food? - Mugsy is super duper picky. She does not want to eat dog food. She loves treats and scarfs down any bits of human food that Daddy accidentally drops on the floor the moment it hits the ground.
5) What is your usual meal? - Solid Gold Just a Wee Bit with some Innova EVO dry kibble mixed in
6) What do you hate to eat? - Mugsy: dog food, won't even eat canned dog food anymore---tries to hold out for something better; Tidbit: will eat everything and anything, wait...she does not like Merrick's Mediterranean Feast or the Venison Dinner canned foods
7) Do you add supplements? Which ones? - Just started in the form of supplemented treats like Dogswell Jerky with Chondroitin and Glucosamine and the Vitality version(for eyes, skin, and coat)
8) And what is your favorite treat? you can tell us whether it's homemade or not. - Dogswell Jerky Treats, Canidae Snap Biscuits, Bullysticks, and Chicken Jerky wrapped sweet potato all tied for favorite treat

3) How long has your Mom/Dad been feeding you home cooked food? Actually my mommy hasn't been feeding me home cooked meals YET, but after this recall scare, she's looking into it. I got very sick as I was eating one of the recalled foods, but I'm in recovery now and on medications. My Doctor says I should be better in no time.
4) What sparked your Mom/Dad's interest in home cooked food?
The Pet Food Recall, She doesn't want anything bad happening to me. Plus my mommy loves to cook so she said she would love to make my meals too.
5) What is your usual meal? I use to eat, NUTRO Natures Choice and Royal Canine.
6) What do you hate to eat? Allergic to any food? I'm not allergic, There isnt anything yet that I don't like.
7) Do you add supplements? Which ones? No.

4) What sparked your Mom/Dad's interest in home cooked food? Well the whole recall thing plus we know its healthier than dog food
5) What is your usual meal? Depends, we usually eat dry dog food all week and one day a week we get a pot of rice with juices and chicken pices that are cooked for us.
6) What do you hate to eat? Allergic to any food? I dont like anything raw yuk! No allergies
7) Do you add supplements? Which ones? Um ya thats kinda why mom came here along with other reasons she doesnt know too much about all this stuff and if we are going to switch over to homecooked all the way she needs to find out BOL

My favorite treat is some meaty bones mom buys us at the store.
