3) How long has your Mom/Dad been feeding you home cooked food? I don't cook meals for my dogs, they eat raw meat and bones.
4) What sparked your Mom/Dad's interest in home cooked food? I like to know what my dogs are eating, so I do make their treats now and that does involve cooking, otherwise they are raw fed.
5) What is your usual meal? Raw meats (pork, chicken, turkey) and bones and sometimes raw liver/kidney/gizzards, etc.
6) What do you hate to eat? Israel can't stand normal dog food...like kibble or commercial dog treats. Spoiled? Judah doesn't like certain meats, but she does love raw turkey A LOT. Allergic to any food? Not that I know of.
7) Do you add supplements? Which ones? The only supplements I give the dogs are fish body oil capsules (human quality) to counterbalance the high Omega-6 levels in the meat I buy (I'm assuming since it's most likely grain/corn fed meat, not grass fed) and since fish is too expensive to buy even for myself, let alone the dogs.
8) And what is your favorite treat? you can tell us whether it's homemade or not. Judah loves string cheese. I mean, she can be asleep in the opposite side of the house and she'll come running as soon as she hears me tear open the packaging. Israel likes anything that's raw and is meat. Or came from an animal.
9) On a scale of 1 to 10 (1=willing to learn and 10=hoping to help others!), how much does your Mom and/or Dad know about home cooked food? er, about a 1 since I don't personally believe in cooking my dogs main diet, but I don't mind cooking treats since it's a small portion and I can't exactly bring raw meat to training classes with Israel.

5) What is your usual meal? I seem to really like chicken, rice, and bananas. No veggies yet, but she is adding them slowly..
6) What do you hate to eat? Allergic to any food? I do not like any hard dog kibble, & I do not like hardly any brands of regular canned food, hence the switch!

Judah and Israel, finding treat recipes are a great way of keeping the diet natural especially when choosing to feed raw. Raw is a great diet and we are so happy you both are thriving on it!
Lola, this is the time to explore what is right for you. There are a variety of great ways to feed home cooked food and knowing what you are eating will make your Mom very happy! I started as a puppy -- around 5 months old. I hated commercial food and so picky that I just got skinnier and skinnier!

I am a little 7lbs Maltese rescue and Sabre is a BIG Javanese cause he is 4lbs bigger then me... Mom says that she may have rescue us but in reality we rescued her...
My mom is on desability and she says she doesn't know what she would do without us... Mom suffers from Fibromyalgia and Cronic Fatigue Syndrom... She says we are the reason she gets out of bed everyday but I tell you my brother and I just luv to cuddle with her day and nite...
Seems like a real nice place to be here... Mom has been looking for places where they help you figure out how to feed me and Sabre so we can be healthy... But is such a challenge for her to cook for us cause of her illness... She is hoping that which ever recepy you have here that she will be able to devide it and freeze it in portions... It would be nice...

3) How long has your Mom/Dad been feeding you home cooked food? She don't... I have a special food mom gets from the vet... it is HYPOalergenic Formula... Cause I have allergies and I chew my hair all over my body when the food don't agree with me...
4) What sparked your Mom/Dad's interest in home cooked food? Mom would like me to want to eat cause I never want to eat my food no matter what she gives me... She thinks if she was to cook for me maybe I would be more willing to eat... I also have the same problem with water unless mom takes me to the bowl of water and keep putting water to my mouth I would never drink either...
5) What is your usual meal? I get 2 meals a day of HYPOalergenic formula... The bites are the size of a thumb nail and she give me 20 bites in the morning and 20 bites at nite... She soaks them with water so I get enough fluid...
6) What do you hate to eat? Everything except once in a while I like to get some of mom's food if she lets me...
Allergic to any food? I am allergic to wheat and cornfloor and beet pulp...
7) Do you add supplements? Mom gives me one tablet of OMEGA 3 fatty acid capsule every day... Which ones? Vet prescribe...
8) And what is your favorite treat? you can tell us whether it's homemade or not. I like little bites of Zuke peanut butter flavor chicken or cheeze or beacon... Love them all... Sometime mom gives me little bites of turkey as well... My bestest though is a new chew for my teeth BOODA Velvet Bimple they taste real good but they are verry hard... Mom says they are real good for my teeth... They are the only things I will chew on...

1) How old are you? When is your birthday? Hi, I'm Mia and I am 10 months old. I was born on April 16, 2006.
2) Where do you live? I live in a suburb of Houston, Texas very close to Galveston Bay.
3) How long has your Mom/Dad been feeding you home cooked food? Mommy has always made me homemade treats. She loves to cook but does not have the time to feed me a completely home-cooked diet (plus Daddy would get jealous if Mommy cooked for me and not for him all of the time).
4) What sparked your Mom/Dad's interest in home cooked food? I think Mommy's love of cooking.
5) What is your usual meal? In the morning I eat my Solid Gold Wee Bit kibble. At night I eat Solid Gold with Salmon Oil on it. A few times a week I get a raw chicken leg quarter mostly for teeth cleaning purposes.
6) What do you hate to eat? Allergic to any food? I am not allergic to any food that we know of but mom suspects that corn gives me horrible gas!
7) Do you add supplements? Which ones? I get Grizzly Salmon Oil at night on my kibble.
8) And what is your favorite treat? You can tell us whether it's homemade or not. Chicken Jerky is my favorite treat hands down!  I also love Zukes Mini Naturals and the home made treats Mommy makes!
